Carlos Alcaraz Talks About Watching Emma Raducanu Live Ahead of US Open Mixed Doubles

Alcaraz most recently concluded his campaign at the 2025 Queen’s Club Championships, where he entered the tournament as the top seed. He began his campaign by defeating Adam Walton in the first round and then overcame lucky loser Jaume Munar in the second round.

In the quarterfinals, the former World No. 1 faced another lucky loser, Arthur Rinderknech, and emerged victorious. He then registered a win over Roberto Bautista Agut in the semifinals to advance to the final. In the championship match, he defeated Jiří Lehečka to win the title, his second title at the Queen’s Club, and his fifth title of the season.

During the post-match press conference following his semifinal victory over Agut, Alcaraz was asked whether he planned to attend Raducanu’s matches ahead of their mixed doubles matches at the 2025 US Open.

In response, the Spaniard expressed that he would love to attend one of Raducanu’s matches at the 2025 Eastbourne Open or the Wimbledon Championships. However, he noted that he would need to check his schedule, as he has his own practice sessions and matches to prepare for. Alcaraz added that he has been following the Brit’s matches on television, but watching her live could be “fun.”

“Well, it depends on the schedule, obviously. I have practices. I have matches. Yeah, I would love to, yeah, if I have time, if, you know, if everything — if I’m at the club or I don’t have anything else to do, yeah, I would love to come and watch her. I’m watching her matches from the TV every time that I can. So watching her in real could be fun,” Alcaraz said.

Raducanu most recently concluded her campaign at the 2025 Queen’s Club Championships, where she reached the quarterfinals before being defeated by Zheng Qinwen.

Where Will Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu Compete Next?

Following the conclusion of their campaigns at the 2025 Queen’s Club Championships, Alcaraz and Raducanu will compete next at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships and the 2025 Eastbourne Open, respectively.

Alcaraz will enter the grass-court Major as the two-time defending champion. He triumphed over Novak Djokovic in the finals in 2023 and 2024 to claim the title. Last year, he defeated Mark Lajal, Aleksandar Vukic, Frances Tiafoe, Ugo Humbert, Tommy Paul, Daniil Medvedev, and Djokovic to secure his second Wimbledon title.

On the other hand, Raducanu is seeded seventh at the Eastbourne Open and will face Ann Li in the first round. This match will mark the first time that these will players will face each other on the WTA Tour.

The winner of the first-round match between Raducanu and Li will advance to face either Ons Jabeur or Maya Joint in the second round of the WTA 250 tournament.
