Carlos Alcaraz is traveling to London this weekend, changing surfaces from clay to grass to target the Queen’s Club Championships.
According to a Eurosport report, the Spanish tennis star will arrive in the UK on Saturday, June 14, two days before the ATP 500 event begins on June 16.

Alcaraz, currently ranked No. 2 in the world, has had a memorable clay-court season, capped off by a stunning victory in Paris. He came through an epic French Open final against top seed Jannik Sinner, rallying from two sets down to prevail in five epic sets.
It lasted five hours and 29 minutes and was the longest men’s singles final in the history of Roland Garros. It was Alcaraz’s fifth Grand Slam title and his successful defense of the crown he first won in 2024. On his way to the final, he beat a rugged draw that included Ben Shelton, Tommy Paul, and Lorenzo Musetti.

Following his Roland Garros victory, Alcaraz’s coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero, remained unsure whether he would participate in the Queen’s Club Championships. He said they will play, but the last determination will be based on Alcaraz’s physical and mental recovery.
His five hour, 29 minute French Open final was a cause for worry about competing too early. The grueling match left the team with a defensive strategy.
“After these days of rest, on Thursday or Friday, we’ll do a test to see how he feels physically and mentally,” Ferrero said in an interview.
Regardless of the decision, Ferrero confirmed Wimbledon remains the main goal. “We’ll go to Wimbledon with great enthusiasm; Carlos loves playing there,” he added.

Alcaraz Won the Queen’s Club Championships in 2023
Before departing for London, Alcaraz made his customary side trip to Ibiza for post-tournament downtime. It’s become an annual tradition for the Spaniard to recharge on the island after the grind of the clay court season.
The news of Alcaraz’s travel schedule first emerged on June 13 from Eurosport, indicating his arrival in London this Saturday to start training on grass.

It will be his third visit to the Queen’s Club Championships, which he won in 2023. Alcaraz’s name featured in an entry list released by the tournament recently.
