Alcaraz is competing at the Monte-Carlo Masters. This year, the reigning champion is competing at the ATP Masters 1000 clay court tournament in Monaco, and he began his campaign in the second round. In his opening match, he advanced to the third round.
Following his opening win, Alcaraz met with Garrix, who had been in the stands cheering for the Spaniard during the match. It is worth noting that, earlier this year, at the Miami Open, Alcaraz and Garrix had also met in Florida.

Looking ahead, Alcaraz is set to face either Tomás Martín Etcheverry or Térence Atmane in the third round of the 2026 Monte-Carlo Masters. While the Spaniard has never faced Atmane on the ATP Tour, he holds a 1-0 head-to-head record against Etcheverry, having beaten him at the 2024 Argentina Open. The winner of this match will proceed to the quarterfinals to take on either eighth seed Alexander Bublik, Jiří Lehečka, or Alejandro Tabilo.
On the other hand, Sinner will compete against either the 16th seed Francisco Cerúndolo or Tomáš Macháč in the third round. The Italian has faced Cerúndolo four times on the ATP Tour, with their head-to-head series evenly split at two wins apiece. Meanwhile, Sinner and Macháč have played each other three times on the Tour, with the former world No. 1 winning all three match-ups.
The winner of the third-round match between Sinner and either Cerúndolo or Macháč will advance to the quarterfinals to face sixth seed Félix Auger-Aliassime, ninth seed Casper Ruud, Corentin Moutet, or Marin Čilić.
In addition to his singles campaign at the 2026 Monte-Carlo Masters, Sinner is also competing in the doubles event alongside Zizou Bergs. They defeated the pair of Ruud and Macháč in the first round, advancing to the second round, where they will face the eighth-seeded duo of Guido Andreozzi and Manuel Guinard.
