What Did Ben Shelton’s Girlfriend, Trinity Rodman, Reveal About His Support?

In the latest episode of “Friendlies,” hosted by Sam Mewis, Rodman talked about how Shelton was there for her during what she described as the “hardest time” of her life when they first started dating. She stated that Shelton provided immense support during this challenging period.

“I would say Ben was huge in that support, and it’s so funny because it was like the start of our relationship. Rough! Rough timing for Ben. It was literally like the beginning of our relationship. I’m going through, like, the hardest time of my life. We were actually talking about that the other day, and we’re like, ‘Dang, that was rough.” I’m really happy we made it out of that,” Rodman said.

Rodman expressed her appreciation for Shelton’s understanding of her situation.

“He supported me so much, and obviously I was with him, supporting him while going through it, which I think was really good for me because I got to still be in the competitive environment. So it was just a good balance, and then he just gets it and understands me and dealt with my psychotic behaviors because I was just like this every day. I’m very happy that he was there for me,” she added.

On the tennis side of things, Shelton most recently participated in the 2025 Swiss Indoors in Basel, where he was seeded second. He began his campaign with a match against qualifier Kamil Majchrzak, winning 6-7(2), 6-3, 7-6(7).

However, Shelton’s run at the ATP 500 hard court tournament ended when he faced Jaume Munar and lost in straight sets, 3-6, 4-6. Despite the early exit from the singles competition, the World No. 6 is still active in the doubles event, teaming up with Rohan Bopanna. Together, they have advanced to the semifinals, where they will face Adam Pavlásek and Jan Zieliński.

After concluding his campaign at the 2025 Swiss Indoors, Shelton is set to compete next at the 2025 Paris Masters, which will take place from October 27 to November 2, 2025. The matches will be held on the indoor hard courts of the La Défense Arena in Paris.

Alongside the World No. 6, other players such as defending champion Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Taylor Fritz, Daniil Medvedev, Alex de Minaur, Casper Ruud, and Lorenzo Musetti are also expected to participate in the ATP Masters 1000 hard-court tournament.
