American tennis star Ben Shelton received a heartfelt show of support from his girlfriend, Trinity Rodman, as he offered fans a behind-the-scenes look at his preparations for the upcoming BMW Open in Munich. Rodman’s affectionate reaction came after Shelton shared a series of clips from his time in Zurich, where he has been fine-tuning his game on clay following a busy stretch in Houston.
How Trinity Rodman Supported Ben Shelton Ahead of the Munich BMW Open
Shelton’s recent outing at the U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championships in Houston marked another important step in his transition to the clay season. Entering the tournament as the top seed, the American earned a first-round bye and opened his campaign with a straight-sets win over Zhang Zhizhen, 7-6(5), 7-6(3).
His singles run ended in the quarterfinals after a three-set battle against Thiago AgustÃn Tirante, but he found greater success in doubles. Partnering with Andres Andrade, Shelton put together a strong run that culminated in a title-winning performance against the top-seeded Brazilian pair of Rafael Matos and Orlando Luz, rallying to secure a 4-6, 6-3, 10-6 victory in the final.
With Houston behind him, Shelton quickly shifted focus to Europe, landing in Zurich to fine-tune his game further ahead of the BMW Open, scheduled for April 13 to 19 in Munich. In the clips he posted on Instagram, Shelton was seen grinding through practice sessions on clay courts, interacting with fans during a photography and autograph stop, and making an appearance at his sponsor On Running’s flagship store.
Among the many reactions, Rodman’s comment stood out, as she dropped a string of heart-eyes emojis, signaling her support as Shelton gears up for the next phase of his season.
