The wedding naturally drew the sports world’s attention, but photos from the event had a surprise within the bridal party: the world No. 6’s older sister and former collegiate tennis player, Emma Shelton, standing among Hall’s bridesmaids.

Ben Shelton and Hall, once a high-profile “power couple,” began their relationship in 2021 at the University of Florida, where both were standout collegiate athletes. During this time, Shelton famously praised Hall’s talent, saying she was “better than [him]” after her bronze medal win at the World Championships. The couple officially parted ways in 2023.
Despite the split, Emma Shelton continued her close friendship with the Olympian.
Hall and the Giants receiver first connected via Instagram before Slayton surprised her at a track meet in New York in 2024. After a year of dating, Slayton proposed at the same stadium in November 2025, leading to their spring wedding on Long Island. Hall and Emma Shelton’s mutual friend, Imogen Barrett, posted the wedding pics on Instagram, and the American No. 1’s sister was one of the six bridesmaids, wearing a coral-colored dress.
