Aryna Sabalenka recently shared a video featuring several throwback pictures from her childhood. These adorable photos of the World No. 1 drew a reaction from her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis.
Sabalenka and Frangulis have been together for nearly two years, having first been seen together during the 2024 Madrid Open. Frangulis is a Brazilian entrepreneur who founded the açaí superfood brand Oakberry in 2016.

Currently, Sabalenka is spending some time away from tennis, having last competed in Australia at the 2026 Brisbane International and the Australian Open. She won the WTA 500 title in Brisbane by defeating Marta Kostyuk in the final, claiming her 22nd WTA Tour singles title. At the Melbourne Major, she reached the final and finished as the runner-up after losing to Elena Rybakina.
Since concluding her campaign in Australia, Sabalenka has not participated in any tournaments. Amid her absence from the sport, she shared a video on social media showcasing her childhood, in which she playfully embraced being a “baddie” with many adorable pictures.
“Not much has changed 🤭,” Sabalenka captioned her Instagram post.

Reacting to Sabalenka’s throwback pictures, Frangulis commented with several heart-eye emojis.
“😍 😍 😍 😍 😍,” Frangulis commented.
After the Australian Open, Sabalenka was scheduled to compete in the Dubai Tennis Championships and the Qatar Open, but withdrew from both. She cited “not feeling 100%” as the reason for her withdrawal from Dubai and a change in schedule for her exit from Doha.
Where Will Sabalenka Compete Next?
Looking ahead, Sabalenka is expected to start her North American hard-court swing at the 2026 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. The tournament is set to take place from March 4 to March 15, 2026, on the outdoor hard courts at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
In addition to Sabalenka, players like Amanda Anisimova, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, Victoria Mboko, Alexandra Eala, and Belinda Bencic are also expected to participate in the WTA 1000 tournament. Defending champion Mirra Andreeva, as well as former champions like Iga Świątek, Elena Rybakina, Paula Badosa, and Naomi Osaka, among others, will also be in the lineup for the tournament in California.
Sabalenka’s best results at the BNP Paribas Open in singles include finishing as the runner-up twice: in 2023 to Rybakina and in 2025 to Andreeva. In doubles, she won the title in 2019 alongside Elise Mertens, triumphing over the pair of Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková in the final.
Last year, Sabalenka was the top seed at the BNP Paribas Open, and she began her campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye. She won her opening match against McCartney Kessler, Lucia Bronzetti, Sonay Kartal, Liudmila Samsonova, and Madison Keys to reach the final. There, she lost to Andreeva in the championship match, finishing as the runner-up.
