Aryna Sabalenka has reached the final of the 2026 Australian Open, her fourth consecutive time reaching this stage at the Grand Slam tournament. Following Sabalenka’s run to the championship match in Melbourne, Novak Djokovic’s wife, Jelena, sent her a message celebrating her accomplishment.

Sabalenka has won the Australian Open singles title twice, in 2023 and 2024, defeating Elena Rybakina and Zheng Qinwen in the finals, respectively. In 2025, she finished as the runner-up to Madison Keys. The Belarusian also has a doubles title at the Melbourne Major, which she won in 2021 alongside Elise Mertens by defeating the pair of Barbora KrejÄŤĂková and KateĹ™ina Siniaková in the championship match.
Sabalenka is the top seed at the 2026 Australian Open, and she defeated Wild Card Tiantsoa Rakotomanga Rajaonah, qualifier Bai Zhuoxuan, Anastasia Potapova, and 17th seed Victoria Mboko in the first four rounds. In the quarterfinals, she eliminated 29th seed Iva Jović and advanced to the final by triumphing over 12th seed Elina Svitolina in the semifinals.
Following her victory over Svitolina, Sabalenka took to social media to share a series of pictures and a video celebrating her progression to the final of the Grand Slam tournament.

Reacting to Sabalenka’s achievement of reaching her fourth consecutive Australian Open final, Djokovic’s wife Jelena extended her support to the Belarusian, celebrating her win.
“Let’s go!!!! đź’Ş đź’Ş đź’Ş đź‘‘ đź‘‘ đź‘‘ đź‘‘,” Jelena’s comment.

Looking ahead, Sabalenka will face fifth seed Rybakina in the final of the 2026 Australian Open. This match will be a rematch of the 2023 final, where Sabalenka emerged as the champion.
Sabalenka and Rybakina have competed against each other 14 times on the WTA Tour, with the World No. 1 winning eight of those matches. Their most recent matchup was in the final of the 2025 WTA Finals, where Rybakina secured a 6-3, 7-6(0) victory, claiming the title.
Meanwhile, Djokovic, seeded fourth at the Australian Open, has reached the semifinals by overcoming Pedro MartĂnez, qualifier Francesco Maestrelli, Botic van de Zandschulp, 16th seed Jakub MenšĂk, and fifth seed Lorenzo Musetti. He will face two-time defending champion and second seed Jannik Sinner in the final-four match.
The winner of the semifinal match between Sinner and Djokovic will advance to face either top seed Carlos Alcaraz or third seed Alexander Zverev in the final.
