The 2026 Barcelona Open final saw Arthur Fils and Andrey Rublev battle it out for the coveted clay-court title. Fils came out on top in the end, winning the final of the ATP 500 tournament 6-2, 7-6 (2) for his first title of the year.

Several of the world’s leading tennis players competed in the 2026 Barcelona Open. Home favorite and top seed Carlos Alcaraz was forced to withdraw from the tournament before the second round due to a wrist injury. But another Spaniard enjoyed an inspired run in Barcelona as 19-year-old Rafael Jódar made it all the way to the semifinals.
The Barcelona Open featured several thrilling and dramatic matches, leaving fans on the edge of their seats all week long.
Fils and Rublev were ultimately left as the last men standing, and they battled it out in a highly engrossing final. Fils emerged victorious in the Barcelona Open final and will receive a large share of the tournament’s €2,950,310 (US$3,473,842) prize pool.
As the winner of the ATP 500 tournament, Fils will earn €546,400 (US$643,358). Rublev will receive €291,450 (US$343,167) for making the final.
Jódar and Hamad Medjedovic will each receive €151,150 (US$177,971) for their runs to the semifinals. Meanwhile, Barcelona Open quarterfinalists Tomáš Macháč, Nuno Borges, Cameron Norrie, and Lorenzo Musetti will all receive €78,950 (US$92,959).
The players who were eliminated in the second round will receive €41,590 (US$48,970) from the tournament’s purse. Meanwhile, those who were eliminated in the first round will earn €22,770 (US$26,810).
For winning the Barcelona Open, Fils will also receive 500 ranking points. As the runner-up, Rublev will receive 330 ranking points. Both beaten semifinalists will get 200 ranking points.
Fils has been in dominant form of late and made his second final of 2026 with his run in Barcelona. He started his campaign with a hard-fought win over Terence Atmane in three sets. The Frenchman then breezed past Brandon Nakashima in straight sets before springing an upset against second seed Musetti in the quarterfinals.
In the semifinals, Fils ended Jódar’s incredible run in Barcelona with a come-from-behind victory. The 21-year-old started the final in dominant fashion and overcame a blip in the second set to win his fourth ATP Tour title.

The ATP Tour will now turn its attention to the Madrid Open, the next Masters 1000 event. Headlining the field for this clay-court tournament will be Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, and reigning champion Casper Ruud.
