Andre Agassi Can’t Hide His Happiness As Daughter Jaz Supports the ‘Super Hero’ by Being by His Side Ahead of USTA Honor at US Open

Andre Agassi's daughter Jaz cheered him as he received an honor for his educational philanthropy.

When Jaz Elle Agassi called her father, Andre Agassi, her “superhero” at the 2025 US Open, it captured something deeper than just a daughter’s admiration.

This moment at the USTA Foundation gala revealed the tight bond between the tennis legend and his 21-year-old daughter, who supported him as he received the Serving Up Dreams Award for his work beyond the court.

How Has Jaz Elle Agassi Shown Her Special Bond With Father Andre Agassi?

Jaz Elle Agassi is the daughter of tennis greats Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf. Born in 2003, the 21-year-old has carved out her interests in horseback riding, hip-hop dance, fitness, fashion, art, and sports like snowboarding, pickleball, and golf.

Unlike her older brother Jaden Gil Agassi, who plays professional baseball for a German team, Jaz maintains a low profile on social media. She rarely posts Instagram stories about her life. However, during the USTA Foundation’s annual Opening Night Gala on Sunday, August 24, at the US Open, the USTA Foundation’s Instagram shared some glimpses of Jaz alongside her father.

According to a guest at the USTA Foundation gala, Jaz called Agassi her “superhero.” During the event, she was captured interacting with fans and other notable figures, including sharing a picture of herself chatting with fashion icon Anna Wintour.

Calling someone your “superhero” is probably the highest compliment a father could hear from his daughter. The moment also shows her respect for Agassi’s achievements and character beyond just his tennis legacy.

The father-daughter duo also attended Novak Djokovic’s match against American Learner Tien. The tennis legend couldn’t hide his happiness at being with his daughter at the tournament.

“Love you, Jaz,” he wrote.

Agassi has often shared in interviews that, as a parent, his goal is to break the negative cycles from his own childhood and be a strong support for his children. During an earlier interview with The Telegraph, he said, “My goal: we all try to break the cycle of dysfunction in our childhood. And I’ve done my best to do that in areas that I feel that I was denied.”

“I try to be the person that my father was to me in areas of offering strength. But you do a lot more learning as a parent than you do teaching, and I am always trying to learn,” he added.
Jaz has publicly shown admiration and love for her father on multiple occasions. Recently, Agassi shared pictures from his visit to the Executive Leadership Academy, where Jaz can be seen commenting, “This is motivating.”

Why Did the USTA Foundation Recognize Andre Agassi’s Work Beyond Tennis?

Agassi received the Serving Up Dreams Award from the USTA Foundation. The award celebrates people who inspire and support young lives through tennis, education, and life skills. Agassi earned this recognition for his dedication to education and youth programs, especially through his Andre Agassi Foundation for Education.

Reflecting on the honor, the eight-time Grand Slam champion said, “While my career may have been in tennis, I believe my true calling is to help create quality academic opportunities for young people that I frankly didn’t have. It’s a privilege to be able to make a difference and help give kids the chance to choose their own path.”

Over the years, Agassi’s foundation has raised more than $180 million to create opportunities for underserved communities. This includes running the successful Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy in Las Vegas.

The ceremony brought together big names from sports and entertainment, with Chris Evert presenting the award to Agassi.
