What Memories Did Andre Agassi Share of Jaz Growing Up?

Agassi and his wife, 22-time Grand Slam champion Steffi Graf, have long chosen to keep their family life private since stepping away from the professional tennis circuit in the early 2000s. Married in 2001 at their Las Vegas home, the couple welcomed their son Jaden later that year and their daughter Jaz in 2003.

Jaden pursued a career in baseball, and Jaz has followed her own path outside of professional sports, keeping a low profile while occasionally appearing alongside her famous parents at public events.

For Jaz’s birthday, Agassi offered a rare glimpse into their family memories. The video montage featured pictures of him with a young Jaz, from her toddler years through different stages of her life. The video had a background track of One Direction’s song ‘Night Changes.’ Each frame reflected Agassi’s affection, culminating in a caption that read, “Happy birthday Jazzy; Love you more than you know💗.”

Agassi Opened Up About Parenting With Steffi Graf as They Adjust to Empty Nest Life

At a Laver Cup press conference, Andre Agassi spoke about reconnecting with tennis after spending many years centered on family life with Steffi Graf. Now that their children, Jaden and Jaz, are adults, he said the “empty nester” stage has created room for him to re-engage with the sport.

Since stepping away from the tour in 2006, Agassi has dedicated much of his time to raising his kids and leading the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education.

“I went through a good 15 years of raising my kids and finishing up my foundation in a way that it can live in perpetuity and building a few businesses,” Agassi said. “Now my kids are — we’re kind of empty-nesters, and I had the bandwidth to come back to tennis on a certain level and really appreciate the difference between what it was and what it is now.”

Agassi recently marked National Daughter’s Day with a touching tribute to his daughter Jaz, sharing two photos, including a sentimental throwback of him carrying her on his shoulders.
