Amanda Anisimova Spotted by the Beach As She ‘Resets Her Nervous System’ With a New Sport After Wimbledon Heartbreak

Amanda Anisimova embraces adventurous vibes after a tough Wimbledon loss to Iga Świątek.

American WTA star Amanda Anisimova’s defeat against Iga Świątek at Wimbledon came as a big shock, but she knew exactly how to plan a reset.

After competing in her debut grand slam final, the 23-year-old chilled on a beach. She appeared stress-free while learning how to ride a surfboard before rejoining competition on hard courts.

Amanda Anisimova Cherishes Nature After Wimbledon Heartbreak Against Iga Świątek

Poland’s Swiatek claimed her first Wimbledon title after defeating American Anisimova 6-0, 6-0 in just 57 minutes. It was a one-sided final, with Swiatek showing confidence and control from the very first point, while Anisimova struggled with nerves throughout the match.

This was the first Wimbledon final for both players, but Swiatek looked far more comfortable and therefore secured her sixth Grand Slam title.

The result was historic as no woman had won a Wimbledon final without losing a single game, known as a double bagel, since Dorothea Lambert Chambers did it back in 1911.

While the disappointment was heavy for Anisimova, she also had a reason to celebrate her best career result so far. She posted an update on Instagram, cherishing nature for a perfect reset after the tournament.

She shared a carousel of pictures and videos featuring a surfing session. The American was seen making attempts to maintain a balance on the surfboard. She was accompanied by Leif Engstrom, a professional surfer who apparently helped her gain a knack for the adventurous skill.

Anisimov expressed the idea behind going for a surfing session with a caption that said:

“reset the nervous system by hitting a few montauk waves while the nephews nap 🏄🏼‍♀️.”

Despite the defeat, Anisimova set a commendable record by becoming the first player born in the 21st century to reach the Wimbledon final.

Rennae Stubbs Slams Naysayers With Bold Message Following Anisimova’s Defeat at Wimbledon

After seeing several negative comments from fans over Anisimova’s failure to secure her maiden Grand Slam title at Wimbledon, Rennae Stubbs stepped forward with a firm backing. According to the former star, it was nothing less than a major achievement for Anisimova to defeat formidable rivals, including Aryna Sabalenka, to attain this position.

“Anyone who goes on social media to trash Amanda needs to really check themselves. This is a kid that just made her first major final & deservedly so. She’s also someone who’s overcome a lot, including losing her father when she was a teenager. She’s a lovely kid, so chill,” she wrote on X.

While Anisimova didn’t really focus on naysayers to celebrate her achievement, it still remains to be seen if she continues to carry the same momentum to the upcoming US Open.
