Amanda Anisimova To Reunite With Nephews After the 2025 WTA Finals Heartbreak

Anisimova entered the 2025 WTA Finals as the fourth seed, and there she faced a tough start, losing her opening group stage match to eventual champion, sixth seed Elena Rybakina (3-6, 1-6). However, she bounced back, defeating her fellow American and seventh seed Madison Keys (4-6, 6-3, 6-2) and second-seeded Iga Świątek (6-7(3), 6-4, 6-2) in her next two group stage matches.

The 24-year-old’s run ended in the semifinals, where she was eliminated by top seed Sabalenka with a scoreline of 3-6, 6-3, 3-6.

After losing to the World No. 1, Anisimova shared a heartfelt post on social media featuring a collage of selfies with one of her nephews and a video of another nephew attempting to drive a car. She mentioned that she “can’t wait” to spend time with her nephews, who help keep her “sane.”
