Wimbledon finalist Amanda Anisimova has quickly moved past her underwhelming Cincinnati Open campaign, turning her focus to the US Open mixed doubles, which is right around the corner. The American is set to partner with fellow rising star Holger Rune and recently offered a glimpse of their budding camaraderie as the duo hit the practice courts together.
Amanda Anisimova, Holger Rune Delighted As They Hit the Court Together Ahead of US Open Mixed Doubles
Anisimova and Rune were both in action in Cincinnati, but their campaigns unfolded differently. The fifth-seeded American bowed out in the third round against Anna Kalinskaya, while the seventh-seeded Dane put together a strong run before being upset by dark horse Terence Atmane in the quarterfinals.
With Cincinnati behind them, both quickly shifted focus to the U.S. Open mixed doubles, which will be held during Fan Week at Flushing Meadows.

Anisimova shared a clip on Instagram from the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, where she paired with Rune for a friendly match against her coach, Hendrik Vleeshouwers, and Rune’s performance analyst, Mike James. Delighted, the American highlighted their victory in her Instagram story.
“Beating our coaches is a good start @holgerrune,” she captioned.

Scheduled for Aug. 19–20, the event will feature some of the biggest ATP and WTA stars joining forces, including Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Iga Świątek, Novak Djokovic, Jessica Pegula, and the pairing of Anisimova and Rune.
