Alexandra Eala knows how to turn heads, both on and off the tennis court. The twenty-year-old Filipina just landed a cover shoot with Town & Country magazine — right as she gets ready for her first-ever US Open main draw.
Between her bright start on the WTA Tour and a string of high-profile wins, fans are asking: Is Eala about to make a name for herself in New York? With that new magazine cover blowing up, it’s not just tennis insiders who want to know what comes next for the young star.
How Did Alexandra Eala Perform on Her Way to US Open Debut?
Coming off her graduation from the Rafa Nadal Academy, Eala made waves this year by breaking into the top 100 of the WTA world rankings. She grabbed attention with strong results throughout the 2025 campaign, earning her spot on the tennis world’s radar.
In the build-up to her New York debut, Eala only played one hard-court event — the 2025 Canadian Open — where she lost in the first round to Markéta VondrouÅ¡ová with a score of 6-3, 1-6, 2-6. She was set for the Cincinnati Open next, but had to withdraw because of a shoulder injury. This change in plans left fans wondering how she’ll handle the quick turn to one of the biggest events on the calendar.
What Made Eala’s Town & Country Photoshoot a Must-See?
As if her run on the Tour wasn’t enough, Eala grabbed even more attention with a jaw-dropping Town & Country cover shoot. The magazine recently dropped a series of photos featuring Eala styled by celebrity consultant Beatriz Moreno de la Cova, sporting looks from luxury brands that showed off her off-court personality.
In one shot, Eala rocked an all-white Loro Piana outfit — complete with top, skirt, hat, and Chanel bracelets. Another image showed her wearing a sleek grey Louis Vuitton maxi dress, paired with Nike Air Superfly shoes and a Cartier ring. Plus, fans loved the photo in which she wore a royal green Max Mara dress with a Pomellato ear cuff.

The 2025 US Open singles event will be held from August 24 to September 7 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City.
Eala is about to step onto the court for her main draw debut after working through the qualifying rounds in 2024, where she defeated Maddison Inglis and Nuria Párrizas DÃaz before falling to Elena-Gabriela Ruse. Eala has spent the 2024-25 campaign building momentum for this moment.
Outside of tennis, Eala has clarified that she cares about her looks while competing. In a recent Town & Country interview, she revealed why fashion matters. Eala said, “I love dressing up. I love looking good on court, feeling myself, and I am so happy for tennis that we’re breaking into another industry.”
What Does Eala’s Rise Mean for the Philippines?
She also talked about what it means to represent the Philippines and help boost the country’s profile on the global tennis stage.
Eala said, “It’s so nice to see that I’m able to pave the way, and I’m able to expose the Philippines to this international stage. It’s such a big part of who I am. The only thing I can give back to my country is to inspire. How I carry myself on court now, it all goes back to the foundation of things, and how I was brought up.”
Eala’s best showing in 2025 so far came when she finished runner-up at the Eastbourne Open, where Maya Joint defeated her in the final. The Filipina also made the semifinals at the Canberra Tennis International and the Miami Open. Along the way, she notched impressive wins against Grand Slam champions like Madison Keys, Iga Świątek, and Jeļena Ostapenko, proving she can hang with the world’s best.
