Alexandra Eala recently shared glimpses from her practice session at the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar ahead of her clay-court swing. The Filipino star was last seen in action at the Miami Open, reaching the round of 16, and Polish sensation Iga Świątek is also expected to train at the academy before she begins her upcoming swing.

The World No. 45 delivered impressive performances in the Middle East swing, competing at the Abu Dhabi Open, the Qatar Open, and the Dubai Tennis Championships. She then entered the Sunshine swing, advancing to the round of 16 in both tournaments, the Indian Wells Open and the Miami Open, subsequently concluding the swing with a positive impression.
After losing in the round of 16 to Karolína Muchová in Miami in straight sets, Eala shared her thoughts, adding, “It’s important to know that – even though I had great wins – after a great win, I’m not all that good, and after a bad loss, I’m not all that bad. So I have to look at it very objectively after I’ve processed the loss better.”
Through Instagram Stories, the Rafa Nadal Academy shared a clip of Eala’s hardcore training session on the clay court, which she later reposted. In the first picture, the caption is “@alex.eala is home 🏠🥎🔥,” and in the second, the message is “@alex.eala 🔥.”

While sharing her thoughts on the upcoming clay-court swing, Eala shared her excitement, expressing, “I’m super excited for the clay-court swing. I think that’s one surface I definitely have a lot of room for improvement, so I’ll love to see how it’ll pan out this year. I have some time before Linz, so I’ll try to do my best to prep for that.”
Meanwhile, Świątek parted ways with her coach, Wim Fissette, following her Miami Open round of 64 loss to fellow Polish talent Magda Linette. According to Polish outlet Przeglad Sportowy Onet, the former World No. 1 is expected to train at the Rafa Nadal Academy ahead of the swing.

Apart from Eala, the academy, which operates worldwide, has produced talents including Casper Ruud, Jaume Munar, Martin Landaluce, Solana Sierra, and others.
