Zverev vs Diallo Head-To-Head
The head-to-head is 0-0 as Zverev and Diallo are yet to play each other on the ATP Tour.
Zverev began his season at the United Cup. While the World No. 3 had a winning start to 2026, winning 7-5, 6-0 against Tallon Griekspoor in the first round, he lost in his very next match, losing 3-6, 4-6 against Hubert Hurkacz, who was making a return to the Tour after a lengthy injury layoff.
Meanwhile, Diallo began his season in Hong Kong, winning his first-round match 6-4, 7-6 (7) against Jesper de Jong, but losing in the next round 6-1, 5-7, 5-7 to Coleman Wong. The Canadian player suffered another loss ahead of the Australian Open, losing 3-6, 6-7 (4) to Andrea Vavassori in the first round in Adelaide.
Zverev vs. Diallo Prediction
Zverev had a 33-15 win-loss record on hard courts last year. He did not win any titles on the surface, but his runner-up finishes in Melbourne and Vienna were the highlights of his season, in which the German lost to Jannik Sinner on both occasions. He also had semifinal finishes at hard-court Masters 1000 events in Toronto, Cincinnati, and Paris.
Diallo had a very modest 20-19 win-loss record on hard courts last year, with most of his success coming on the natural surfaces. The Canadian’s best hard-court result last year was reaching the fourth round at the Shanghai Masters, where he lost to Zizou Bergs.

As far as hard-court stats are concerned, Zverev is a far more accomplished player compared to Diallo. The German player has reached 23 hard-court finals in his career, winning 15 titles on the surface, the last of which was the 2024 Paris Masters.
On the other hand, Diallo has reached only one hard-court final in his career, the 2024 Almaty Open, where he lost to Karen Khachanov.
Diallo is one of the biggest servers on the ATP Tour, and on a relatively fast Melbourne surface, he might be able to hurt Zverev, especially if the match is scheduled during the day session.
Zverev, on the other hand, would like to secure a statement win in the first Grand Slam match of the year, and if the German plays anywhere near his potential, he should not have any trouble doing the same.
