The Taste of Tennis is an event that combines food and lifestyle, held before major tennis tournaments like the US Open, Indian Wells, and the Miami Open. It brings together top tennis stars, renowned chefs, and fans. The Miami event took place on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Hutong Miami, an upscale restaurant known for its sophisticated Northern Chinese cuisine.
Zverev and Thomalla, who have been together since 2020, brought along their pet dog, a golden-brown Dachshund named Mishka, at the Taste of Tennis Miami. Former Canadian tennis player Bouchard was also in attendance at the event.
“Simply the best behaved dog in the world,” Thomalla captioned her Instagram story (translated from German).

Collins, who won the Miami Open in 2024 by defeating Elena Rybakina in the final, along with Moutet, Alycia Parks, and Sachia Vickery, was also present at the Taste of Tennis Miami.
“@tasteoftennis thank you 🙏,” Moutet captioned his Instagram story.
“@alycia.parks @tasteoftennis 🔥,” Vickery wrote.

The 2026 Miami Open is scheduled to take place from March 17 to March 29, 2026. The matches will be held on outdoor hard courts at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Zverev’s best result at this ATP Masters 1000 hard-court tournament came in 2018, when he reached the final and finished as the runner-up to John Isner.
This year, Zverev is seeded third in Florida and will begin his campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye. In his opening match, he is set to face the winner of the first-round match between Jacob Fearnley and Wild Card Martin Damm.
Zverev and Fearnley have played each other four times on the ATP Tour, with the former World No. 2 winning all four matches. Their most recent encounter was in the first round of the 2025 Erste Bank Open, where Zverev secured a 6-4, 1-6, 7-6(5) win. He then reached the final, finishing as the runner-up to Jannik Sinner.
Zverev and Damm have never faced each other on the ATP Tour, so their potential second-round match at the Miami Open would mark their first encounter.
The winner of the second round match between Zverev and either Fearnley or Damm will advance to face the 27th seed, Brandon Nakashima, Marin Čilić, or Alexei Popyrin in the third round of the tournament.
