Alexander Zverev’s Girlfriend Sophia Thomalla Adorably Introduces the Couple’s New Pup to the World

Alexander Zverev and Sophia Thomalla introduced their new puppy, Mishka, as the tennis star continued his strong run at the Vienna ATP 500 event.

German tennis star Alexander Zverev and his longtime girlfriend, Sophia Thomalla, recently melted hearts as they introduced their adorable new puppy, Mishka. Together since 2020, the couple has shared countless cherished moments over the years, and welcoming Mishka marks yet another beautiful addition to their journey.

Zverev is currently in action at the ATP 500 event in Vienna, following an eventful Asian swing. The German made a strong start at the China Open, advancing to the quarterfinals before bowing to eighth seed Daniil Medvedev. However, his momentum faltered at the Masters 1000 event in Shanghai, where, despite being seeded third, he suffered an unexpected third-round exit against France’s Arthur Rinderknech, losing 6-4, 3-6, 2-6.

Nonetheless, the German appears fully focused on the Erste Bank Open in Vienna. He opened his campaign with a hard-fought 6-4, 1-6, 7-6(5) victory over Jacob Fearnley, followed by a commanding 6-4, 6-4 win against Matteo Arnaldi. Adding to his confidence was the presence of his girlfriend, Sophia Thomalla, who came to support him in his opening-round match and even got emotional at one point during the contest.

But Thomalla isn’t the only one cheering for Zverev; the couple recently delighted fans by introducing their adorable golden-brown Dachshund, Mishka. Thomalla shared several endearing shots of the pup, capturing him peacefully sleeping on her lap and also with Zverev. The duo even posted a sweet selfie with their pet, who was later seen amusingly playing with the access pass for the Vienna ATP 500 event.

“Nature gave them big ears only so they wouldn’t listen to anything you say,” she captioned one of her Instagram stories.

Thomalla later documented her love for Mishka in an Instagram post.

“Two one characters, and one who takes care of both of them. Say hi to Mishka,” her caption read.

Hailing from East Berlin, where she was born on October 6, 1989, Thomalla has established her name in the entertainment industry as a model, actress, and television presenter. Her versatility earned her recognition across Germany, featuring in numerous TV shows and films.

She also gained popularity as the host of the German version of Are You the One?, the hit dating series that first aired on MTV in 2014. Beyond her television career, Thomalla stays connected with her fans through lively, engaging social media posts.

Zverev, meanwhile, remains fully focused on his Vienna campaign, drawing extra motivation from his girlfriend’s presence courtside. The German has advanced to the quarterfinals, where he will face the Netherlands’ Tallon Griekspoor in their 11th career meeting. Remarkably, Zverev leads their head-to-head 8–2, making him the clear favorite heading into the clash.
