The Tennessee Titans are a team in transition following back-to-back losing seasons.
Mike Vrabel is gone as head coach, and longtime running back Derrick Henry is now in Baltimore.
New head coach Brian Callahan will try to get his team out of the cellar in an otherwise tight AFC South Division.
Here is what you need to know about the 2024 Tennessee Titans.

Titans Offense
This is a Titans team that will certainly have a different look offensively. While new offensive coordinator Nick Holz will have second-year pro Will Levis to handle things at quarterback, it will probably seem strange to see someone besides Derrick Henry taking handoffs.
With Henry now with Baltimore, Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears will handle running back duties.
And Levis will have wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins and newly signed Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd to throw the ball to this season.
But this offense was one of the worst in the league last season (289.0 total YPG, 28th in the NFL), so there is a lot of work to be done.
Titans Defense
While the defense fared better than the offense last season, the defense was still ranked in the bottom half of the league in total defense (335.1 YPG, 18th).

The pass defense (ranked 18th) was worse than the run defense (ranked 13th), so Tennessee went out and added key pieces in the defensive backfield.
New defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson is believed to have focused on a strong defensive backfield. And among the Titans’ offseason acquisitions were defensive backs  L’Jarius Sneed, Chidobe Awuzie, Jarvis Brownlee Jr., Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs.
One Betting Trend to Know
If Tennessee wants to turn things around, a better performance against the teams in its division would certainly help. The Titans were just 1-5 vs. the AFC South Division last season, and 1-5 against the spread against their own division.

That lone win and cover came in the regular season finale against the Jacksonville Jaguars, a 28-20 win that knocked the Jaguars out of playoff contention.
Best Bet for Titans in 2024
Although it’s not unrealistic to expect a worst-to-first scenario in the AFC South Division for the Titans (see the Houston Texans last season as an example), this is a pretty competitive division, with three of the four teams finishing with a winning record.
While it would require a nice turnaround in the win column for the Titans, there should be excellent value in betting on the Titans to make the playoffs at +425.
Houston went from 3-13-1 in 2022 to 10-7 and the division champs last year. Figuring that nine — likely 10 — wins will be the minimum needed to reach the playoffs, the Titans have an opportunity to make such an improvement.
