Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Met Gala Appearance?

Now that the football season is officially over, fans seem to be waiting on Kelce’s retirement announcement (will he or won’t he) and whether he and Swift will be on the red carpet for the upcoming Met Gala.

Why is it a big deal? Because even though the event doesn’t take place til May, this may be the first major event the pair could attend together in public without football or touring being in the way.

For the past few years, Swift has been on tour, and she is finally taking a break. Kelce may or may not be on his way to retirement, and it sounds like, from reports, he could shut it down for good.

Kelce and Swift haven’t been able to spend quality time together at events like this normally because of his work schedule. A perfect example is the Grammys. Kelce couldn’t attend the Grammys with his lady love because it was Super Bowl week.

Sources close to the couple say they look forward to being together now that his season is over and she is no longer touring.

Despite the March deadline the Chiefs gave him, Kelce is still taking his time deciding what he plans to do.

“I know everybody wants to know whether I’m playing next year and, right now, I’m just kicking everything down the road,” he said.

He added: “I’m kicking every can I can down the road. I’m not making any crazy decisions. I’ve been fortunate over the past five, six years I’ve played more football than anybody.”

It seems that another factor in his decision is his teammates and wanting to be the best teammate he can be if he decides to come back.

“I think I owe it to my team-mates that if I do come back, it’s going to be a whole-hearted decision. Not half-assing it. I’m fully here for them and I think I could play. It’s just whether or not I’m motivated or it’s the best decision for me as a man, as a human and as a person to take on all of that responsibility.”

We will all know soon if Kelce plans to be seen at more events with Swift in the future.
