Taylor Swift’s parents, Scott and Andrea Swift, have been foundational in the global icon’s rise with their support. From her childhood on a Pennsylvania Christmas tree farm to her record-breaking Eras Tour and high-profile relationship with NFL tight end Travis Kelce, the Swifts have quietly remained at the heart of her life and career.

More About Travis Kelce’s In-Laws, Scott and Andrea Swift
Scott and Andrea Swift married on Feb 20, 1988, in Harris County, Texas, and welcomed Taylor on Dec. 13, 1989, followed by son Austin on March 11, 1992. The family spent Taylor’s early years on an 11-acre Christmas tree farm in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, a setting she later immortalized in her 2019 holiday track “Christmas Tree Farm,” according to PEOPLE.
Both parents came from the financial sector. Andrea worked as a mutual fund marketing executive, while Scott was a stockbroker who later became a vice president at Merrill Lynch. Their business-minded backgrounds even inspired Taylor’s first name, chosen for its gender-neutral appeal on a future business card.
From early on, Andrea played an active role in Taylor’s pursuit of a music career, accompanying her to Nashville and driving her up and down Music Row. When the family moved to Hendersonville, Tennessee, in 2004 after Taylor signed her first publishing deal with Sony/ATV, Scott transferred his financial advisory group to the area while Andrea focused on supporting Taylor on the road.
They intentionally chose the suburbs rather than central Nashville to give Taylor space to grow without the pressure of industry peers all around her.
As Taylor’s fame surged following her 2006 Grand Ole Opry debut, Scott and Andrea remained deeply involved but protective. Their influence extended into her music, inspiring songs like “The Best Day,” which references Taylor’s close bond with her mother.
Meanwhile, Scott, known for his hands-on dedication, has become a familiar presence to fans, from handing out pizza to Swifties at early-morning TV tapings to riding a Segway backstage during the Eras Tour.
The family circle widened in 2023 when Taylor began dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Scott and Travis bonded soon thereafter, notably during the singer’s Buenos Aires concerts, where the NFL athlete successfully converted the longtime Philadelphia Eagles fan into a Chiefs supporter.
Scott’s new allegiance became clear as he joined Taylor at multiple games, including the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win in February 2024. Both Scott and Andrea continued their support, attending tour dates and important events alongside their daughter through 2024 and 2025.
