New York Giants’ rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart has been the best quarterback of the 2025 NFL Draft and has shown that he can develop into a franchise quarterback. He delivered another strong performance in Week 10 against the Chicago Bears, throwing for 242 yards on 19 completions, as well as rushing for 66 yards and two touchdowns.
Dart’s statsheet looks like this: 1,417 passing yards, 10 touchdowns, and three interceptions on the season thus far. Additionally, he’s added 317 yards on the ground and seven rushing touchdowns. His talent as a passer and runner is apparent, yet his style of play has raised concerns about his durability, specifically with concussions.

Super Bowl-Winning Head Coach Speaks on Jaxson Dart
In an interview with Kay Adams, Super Bowl-winning head coach Bruce Arians had this to say about young quarterbacks playing recklessly:
“You don’t want to break them of being a scrambler, but you have to be a smart scrambler. You look at these young quarterbacks, and four or five of them have all gotten hurt this year scrambling: Jayden Daniels, J.J. McCarthy, Jaxson Dart and you cannot put your head down and run into defensive players in the National Football League and survive as a quarterback, it just doesn’t work. You gotta quit it.”
Dart is still going through some growing pains, but he needs to resolve this issue sooner rather than later. He’s had concussion scares multiple times this season.
The first concussion scare triggered a whole incident, which occurred in a Week 6 game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football.

As Dart underwent the examination in the blue medical tent, head coach Brian Daboll and rookie running back Cam Skattebo entered the tent, which is strictly against the league’s rules. So, the league handed out fines to the Giants organization, Daboll, and Skattebo.
Another concussion scare happened in the Week 10 loss to the Bears. Dart took another big hit, and upon examination, he was ruled out for the remainder of the game with a concussion.

The concussion is still affecting Dart, and he will miss the Week 11 matchup against the Green Bay Packers. Veteran quarterback Jameis Winston will start in his place, followed by Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson backing him up.
Jaxson Dart clearly needs to be more careful, and more people are coming forward to say this. Super Bowl-winning defensive back Aqib Talib gave him the same advice as Arians.
As it currently stands, Dart could return to the team’s Week 12 game against the Detroit Lions.
