Jalen Ramsey has been in the NFL for a while now, but he still has the kind of name recognition that can help a player stick around past age 30. Heading into his age-31 season, though, the All-Pro cornerback is up against the toughest opponent of all: Time.
Still, Ramsey remains a valued asset across the league. That’s why analysts continue tossing out possible landing spots for him. The latest suggestion — this one from a former New England Patriots star — might just be the most intriguing yet.
Jalen Ramsey’s Next Chapter? Jason McCourty Sees It Starting With Minnesota Vikings
On the May 27 edition of “Up & Adams,” former New England Patriots Super Bowl cornerback Jason McCourty floated the idea of Ramsey joining the Minnesota Vikings, noting the connection between Ramsey and Minnesota’s head coach.
“One team that I’ve seen some people mention, but not a lot of people mention, is the Minnesota Vikings,” McCourty said. “Kevin O’Connell, he was there with the Rams when they won the Super Bowl.”
“Jalen Ramsey is so talented and can play so many different positions: Slot, safety, corner,” he added. “I think that would be a ton of fun if you can see Brian Flores using him as a chess piece and moving him all around, get him blitzing and doing different things to just show all of the talents that he has.”

Ramsey is still under contract with the Miami Dolphins, but for all intents and purposes, a split feels inevitable. The only real questions are when and where.
Ramsey Has Left Florida Before — and He Might Do It Again
The Dolphins’ star corner appears to be loaded on the trebuchet pointed north, no matter where he lands. And this wouldn’t be the first time he’s said goodbye to the Sunshine State.
Ramsey was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2016. While he thrived on his rookie deal, things never quite worked out long-term, and he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams in 2019.
After helping the Rams win a Super Bowl at the end of the 2021 season, he was dealt to the Dolphins following the 2022 campaign.
He’s picked off at least one pass in every year of his career, including 2019 when he split time between Jacksonville and L.A., and he’s recorded multiple interceptions in each of the last four seasons.
If Ramsey signs with a cold-weather team, it would be a first. Still, if he lands in Minnesota, home games won’t be an issue — the Vikings play indoors. Road trips to places like the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears, though? That’s a different story.
a Dallas Cowboys fan, since the 70’s if Jerry Jones trade for Jalen Ramsey he won’t get Jerry Jones a super bowl ring and Jalen Ramsey lost a step and Jerry Jones will have to give up some draft picks and take on Jalen Ramsey’s old contract and give Jalen Ramsey a new contract and it’s going to be hard because Jerry Jones has to pay Micah Parsons and George Pickens
