Ravens Owner Steve Bisciotti Appears During Jamison Hensley’s Live SportsCenter Report

ESPN Baltimore Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley was delivering a live report outside the team’s facility in Owings Mills during the Noon ET edition of “SportsCenter” on Thursday, following Minter’s introductory press conference.

While host Christine Williamson was speaking with Hensley, Bisciotti entered the frame.

Bisciotti leaned in over Hensley’s right shoulder and placed his left arm around Hensley’s left shoulder as the report continued.

“Well, actually, I am just being stopped by this,” Hensley said on air. “This is Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti.”

Bisciotti then said into the ESPN microphone, “It’s cold out here.”

Williamson followed by asking, “What is he doing outside?”

“That is what I asked him,” Bisciotti replied, referring to Hensley. “Shouldn’t you be inside?”

Bisciotti continued by referencing the Ravens’ facility. “We have a lot of nice places for him,” he said. “He is our favorite reporter. I don’t know why they kicked him to the curb, so to speak. Because we are out here on the curb.”

Despite the unexpected interruption, Hensley stayed on task and used the moment to redirect the conversation back to football, asking Bisciotti directly why the Ravens hired Minter.

“I didn’t,” Bisciotti said. “Eric did. And I approved it.”

Bisciotti credited Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta with leading the coaching search and explained the decision.

“I can tell those two are going to work really well together,” Bisciotti said. “He stood out. We had some good candidates out there, but he stood out. So we are really happy with him, and we are really happy with Jamison.”

Bisciotti then exited the frame, and the segment concluded with Williamson and Hensley.

Later Thursday, Hensley referenced the moment on X, writing, “It’s not every day when you’re doing a SportsCenter segment and Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti decides to join in.”

The appearance occurred hours after the Ravens formally introduced Minter as their new head coach. Bisciotti appeared in high spirits, exhibiting the type of energy an exciting new hire can create.
