Stefon Diggs Should Be Careful With a Woman Like Cardi B, Says Emmanuel Acho
Diggs and Cardi B have been on and off this year. After breaking up around the Super Bowl, the two mended fences, only to go viral for a public spat. However, they’ve seemingly made peace yet again.
The cast on the show “Speakeasy” discussed the couple’s most recent public fallout, during which they argued on the sidewalk of an establishment. Former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho weighed in by emphasizing the significance of being a high-profile individual.
Acho’s comments came after Cardi said, “Sometimes I forget I’m a celebrity… damn y’all ain’t never cuss your babydad out when you hungry?” after the video of her argument with Diggs went viral.
“So here’s why I don’t have grace with Stefon Diggs,” he said. “If you are messing with women who have the ability to forget they’re a celebrity, you’re messing with the wrong woman.”
Diggs might be a prominent figure in American sports, but he still doesn’t match the international acclaim of Grammy winner Cardi B. Being very recognizable comes with a lot of discretion in public.
“Because in my lower level of celebrity, I’ve had conversations with men and women alike to be like, ‘Look, I don’t have the luxury of arguing in public,'” Acho added. “We don’t have that luxury. So if you’ve got beef with me, we’re going to have to argue in private. We don’t have the luxury of arguing at a restaurant. We don’t have the luxury of arguing at an airport… We don’t have that.”
Diggs and Cardi B have a son together, born in November 2025. “Speakeasy” guest T.J. Houshmandzadeh argued that having the child together adds weight and responsibility to their relationship. Meanwhile, Acho leaned on how careful someone like Diggs has to be with a woman like Cardi B.
“You don’t have to be at a Mother’s Day function with them [baby mothers],” Acho said. “You don’t have to be out, grabbing brunch or coffee together… Pick better. You can’t come off of a case where a woman just very publicly lied on you and now be back with the woman who, ‘Oh, I forgot I was a celebrity and was yelling at you in public.’ Diggs, Cardi [has] already made her money. She’s set for life. She ain’t gotta drop another album… You, Stefon Diggs, are not.”
