Stefon Diggs’ Trade Rumors: Potential Landing Spots Include Cowboys, Commanders, and Cardinals

Few players in NFL history have had the kind of regular season success that Stefon Diggs has had since joining the Buffalo Bills in 2020.

With four straight seasons of over 100 catches, 5,000+ receiving yards, and four Pro Bowl appearances to boot, Diggs has become one of the best receivers in the NFL since being traded from the Minnesota Vikings.

After four seasons with the Bills and no Super Bowl appearances, it seems that Diggs could be ready for a new home that can bring him the championship he’s desperately looking for.

Stefon Diggs Landing Spots in a Trade

Over the last few seasons, Diggs has seemingly been disgruntled at the lack of playoff success the Bills have had. This past offseason, a series of cryptic tweets have left some wondering if this is the time that Buffalo will move their All-Pro wideout.

With a struggling cap number and plenty of needs all over the field, Buffalo could look to get a king’s ransom for a star wide receiver on a contending team.

While they probably won’t be trading him to any AFC team they could see in the playoffs, there are plenty of NFC organizations that need a star wideout to take them to the next level.

Dallas Cowboys

The most obvious choice of any team potentially interested in Diggs is the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas is coming off another postseason loss in the Wild Card round and could use a dependable second option outside of CeeDee Lamb.

Pairing Stefon with his younger brother Trevon has been something the two have teased over the years, and this could finally be the offseason it happens.

But only if Dallas is willing to give up some draft capital.

Washington Commanders

The Commanders already have Terry McLaurin, but imagine what bringing Diggs into this offense could do with a top rookie like Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels?

Washington’s new-look offense under Kliff Kingsbury needs quality receivers for their “Air-Raid” approach, and with Curtis Samuel set to hit free agency, the odds of the Commanders needing another receiver are high. It’s why a trade for Diggs would make a lot of sense.

Dan Quinn and Adam Peters are new to the organization, but a trade like this could be the move that changes life in the nation’s capital.

New York Giants

Every organization outside of the Philadelphia Eagles should have some semblance of interest in the Bills’ All-Pro wideout. New York doesn’t have the kind of weapons on the outside to compete with other top offenses in their division or conference.

Pairing Diggs with Brian Daboll — the Bills’ former offensive coordinator and now Giants head coach — is also something that could entice the wideout to come to the Big Apple. Daniel Jones may not be the best quarterback out of any on this list, but New York’s improvements on defense, and Diggs’ trust in Daboll could be a major difference.

Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals are most likely going to be taking a WR with the fourth overall pick, but what is stopping them from adding a top receiver on the other side of Marvin Harrison Jr. (potentially)?

Diggs, paired with Kyler Murray, would be an interesting duo and instantly catapult Arizona to among the top teams in the NFC West and even in title contention for the entire conference.

Detroit Lions

A contending team that needs a wideout to pair with a stable quarterback and budding outside receiver? You can certainly count the Detroit Lions as an organization that may be interested in bringing in a talent like Diggs.

Jared Goff is coming off an excellent season and led Detroit to the conference championship for the first time in decades. The Lions should do everything possible to maximize their championship window — even if it means moving some cap space and draft room around.
