WATCH: Stefon Diggs Spotted With Cardi B Attending Knicks’ Playoff Game at Madison Square Garden

Stefon Diggs signed with the New England Patriots earlier this offseason. The 10-year veteran is looking to bounce back from a torn ACL last season.

He recently attended the New York Knicks, Boston Celtics NBA Playoff game with rapper Cardi B. A relationship has been rumored between the pair, and they sat courtside to see the Knicks take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Patriots’ WR Stefon Diggs Sits Courtside With Cardi B at NBA Playoff Game

Diggs was a fifth-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft and spent the first five years of his career with the Minnesota Vikings. He surpassed 1,000 yards twice with Minnesota, including 2018, where he totaled 102 receptions, 1,021 yards, and nice touchdowns. Diggs shockingly did not make the Pro Bowl that season.

He signed a five-year, $72 million extension before the 2018 season, but was traded to the Buffalo Bills in the 2020 offseason. Buffalo sent four draft picks, including a first-rounder, to Minnesota for the receiver, and he became Josh Allen’s primary target for the next four seasons.

Allen and Diggs lit up the NFL in 2020, with the receiver making the Pro Bowl and being named first-team All-Pro for the first time in his career. He led the league in receptions (127) and yards (1,535) while adding eight touchdowns. Buffalo suffered its first of many playoff defeats to the Kansas City Chiefs that year, but Diggs solidified himself as one of the best receivers in the NFL.

He never bettered his receptions or yardage totals, but Diggs had over 100 catches and over 1,000 yards each of the next three years. Buffalo couldn’t advance beyond the Divisional Round any of those seasons, and Diggs’ relationship with Allen became strained.

The Bills gave Diggs a four-year, $96 million extension before the 2022 season, but would trade him to the Houston Texans in the 2024 offseason. Upon arrival, Houston restructured Diggs’ contract and took away one of the extension years, hoping to get the best out of the receiver.

He completed arguably the best receiver trio in the league, along with Nico Collins and Tank Dell. However, a Week 5 hamstring injury to Collins and Diggs’ Week 8 ACL injury quickly ended the triumvirate. In eight games, Diggs finished with 47 catches, 496 yards, and three touchdowns. The Texans let him test free agency after the season.

His 2024 season was cut short, but rumors of Diggs and Cardi B began swirling in October 2024. The pair arrived together at the Knicks game, and it was the first time they had shown up to an event together since the rumors started, according to People. @BardisMedia, a Cardi B fan account, tweeted a video of the pair.

The account tweeted, “Cardi B & Stefon Diggs courtside at the NY Knicks game.”

Houston was interested in re-signing Diggs, but the Patriots swooped in with a three-year, $63.5 million contract earlier this offseason. That seems like a lot of money for a 10-year receiver coming off a torn knee, but New England wants to surround Drake Maye with as many weapons as possible.

Things appear to be going well for Diggs off the field, and he could be critical to New England turning around its offense. The unit was No. 26 in PFSN’s Offense+ metric last season, finishing 28th in EPA per play and 30th in points per drive. Diggs is easily the most accomplished receiver on New England’s roster and will have to be the veteran presence for the young receiving corps.
