Shilo Sanders is the less-talked-about son of NFL legend Deion Sanders. Like his brother, Shedeur Sanders, Shilo will be a rookie in the NFL in 2025 after signing a contract as an undrafted free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He recently went viral for a clip on his Twitch stream, and a newly signed Pittsburgh Steeler weighed in on this clip.
Darius Slay Reacts to Shilo Sanders’ Twitch Clip
While on Twitch, Shilo’s impersonation of his father was humorous for many, making the clip go viral.
“I really, really appreciate the sub, dawg,” said the former Colorado star. “When y’all sub with Prime, it’s Prime, baby. The Lord sent you to sub.”

“Shilo so damn funny,” said newly signed Steelers cornerback Darius Slay on ‘X.’
Slay is entering his age-35 season, his first in Pittsburgh, after winning the Super Bowl with the Eagles in 2024. The six-time Pro Bowler registered 49 tackles (39 solo, 10 assists), three tackles for loss, 13 pass deflections, and a forced fumble in 14 games in 2024.
Meanwhile, in 10 games at Colorado as a Senior, Sanders registered 67 tackles (44 solo, 23 assists), two tackles for loss, one sack, two pass deflections, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and a defensive touchdown.
The rookie safety will join a Buccaneers secondary that includes Jamel Dean, Zyon McCollum, and Tykee Smith. However, Antoine Winfield Jr is the most notable player he joins in the secondary.
Like Sanders, Winfield Jr. is the son of a former NFL star, Antoine Winfield Sr. Both players play in the secondary just like their fathers did at the NFL level. The fifth-year safety could serve as a mentor to Sanders both on and off the field as he adjusts to becoming a professional and tries to figure out how to handle living in the shadow of an NFL legend.
Winfield Sr. was named to three Pro Bowls in his career, and his son is on his way to being mentioned in the same class. He has a Pro Bowl, an All-Pro selection, and a Super Bowl ring under his belt in his first five seasons in the NFL.

Both Shedeur and Shilo Sanders will be names to watch as the season approaches, but whether or not either earns an opportunity to start or see significant playing time remains to be seen. Each will look to prove their worth in the NFL and carve out their own path, independent of their father’s success before them.
