NFL fans were surprised to learn that new Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was married and had been for a couple of months.
However, his family, with whom Rodgers doesn’t have the best relationship, doesn’t seem to believe the Super Bowl-winning signal-caller is actually married.
Aaron Rodgers’ Family Reportedly Skeptical of Steelers QBs’ Marital Status
According to the Daily Mail, sources close to Rodgers’ family have said that they’re “unconvinced” about the truth of Rodgers’ marriage.
Rodgers revealed that he was married a couple of months ago to a woman named Brittani, who supposedly doesn’t have social media. He also showed up to the Steelers’ facility with a black wedding band on his ring finger.
Rodgers’ family was reportedly taken “off guard” by the news.
As a side note, former ESPN and Fox Sports personality Skip Bayless fired shots toward Rodgers following the reveal of his married status.
Bayless tweeted, “Aaron Rodgers wore a wedding ring to his first Steelers press conference because he wanted the media to know he had pulled one over on ’em – got married “a couple of months ago” without anyone knowing. Her identity remains a mystery. Now if only he could still fool defenses.”

The Daily Mail mentioned that no public records show a legal marriage and that a Pennsylvania county clerk indicated there was no record either. They also reached out to county officials in Las Vegas, citing that it’s a “common venue for quick celebrity weddings.” Those officials also said there was no record.
As mentioned, Rodgers doesn’t have the closest relationship with his family. He’s been at odds with his brother, Jordan, who won “The Bachelorette” in 2016 for a while now.
The Daily Mail also said that Jordan and his wife JoJo Fletcher didn’t attend Rodgers’ wedding, and one “insider” said, “Jordan and JoJo didn’t go to the wedding and don’t even know anything really about Brittani. What they’ve heard is secondhand from his parents.”
“They are still angry that Aaron didn’t go to their wedding. He didn’t want to be with his brother on the biggest day of his life, so why should they twist themselves up over this wedding?”
According to the Daily Mail, the family suspects that it may not be a legitimate wedding, but more of a symbolic “commitment ceremony” instead of something legally binding.
The alleged insiders also claim that Rodgers has had a “long-held aversion” to marriage following his split with actress Shailene Woodley in 2022. “After Shailene, Aaron used to say that he’d never get married, but here we are, years later, and he’s now saying he’s married,” a source told the Daily Mail.
“Aaron is a whim follower, which is something that’s surprising when you see how successful he’s been. He gets something in his mind and charges forward, really without much real consideration. This feels like one of his whims.”
Rodgers has mentioned many times on “The Pat McAfee Show” that these alleged insiders don’t have much access to his personal life as they indicate. He did bring up Brittani during a December appearance and in April he mentioned that he was in a “serious relationship.”

Some have speculated it to be model Brittani Kline, but that would go against what Rodgers said regarding her lack of social media presence.
Either way, whether he’s married symbolically or legally, or isn’t at all, does it matter? What NFL fans are more interested in is whether or not Rodgers, who won his lone Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers against the Pittsburgh Steelers, can help bring that same type of success to the Steel City as his career winds down.
