For nearly three years, fans followed every rumor surrounding Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s future together. All the speculations finally came to a sweet end on July 3 when the couple tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in front of a celebrity-filled guest list, with comedy icon Adam Sandler serving as the officiant for the ceremony.
However, one reported absence quickly became a talking point after the celebration.

Speaking on the ‘Chicks in the Office’ podcast, co-host Maria Ciuffo pointed out that Swift’s close friend Sophie Turner did not appear to be at the wedding. “People brought up the fact that Sophie Turner wasn’t spotted, which is interesting,” Ciuffo said.
Co-host Francesca Mariano wondered if Turner had simply decided not to attend despite receiving an invitation. Ciuffo, though, did not agree with that theory. She believes there could be more behind the situation. “Something must have happened,” Ciuffo said.

Turner has long been considered one of Swift’s closest friends. Their bond strengthened during Turner’s highly publicized split from Joe Jonas in 2023.
After the divorce proceedings began in Sept. 2023, Turner was staying in New York City while searching for a place where she and her two daughters could settle. During that difficult period, it is reported that Swift remained one of the people closest to her.

In fact, Swift opened the doors of her New York City apartment for the ‘Game of Thrones’ actress. Turner later described the singer as an “absolute hero” for providing both safety and stability during one of the toughest chapters of her life.
Because of that history, the reported absence naturally caught fans’ attention. Interestingly, Kelce and Swift worked hard to keep their wedding out of the public eye. Still, many details continued to surface after the ceremony.
As more information becomes public, the celebration appears to have brought together some of the biggest stars from music, film, and entertainment. Meanwhile, every part of the celebration reflected careful planning. Organizers reportedly customized everything from the cocktails to the menu. Luxury brands such as Christian Louboutin and Cartier contributed to the fashion and jewelry.
Kelce is expected to spend several weeks on his honeymoon with Swift before reporting to Missouri Western State University for the Chiefs’ training camp in late July.
