LAFC has not reshuffled the squad much ahead of the 2026 season, after finishing third in the Western Conference in 2025. The one significant change has been in the dugout, with Marc Dos Santos replacing Steven Cherundolo.
5) Hugo Lloris
Hugo Lloris was not at his best when he left Tottenham, but he has found his form once again after joining LAFC. The Frenchman has kept a clean sheet in 33 of his 92 matches, making him a key player of the squad.
He will be in goal once again this season and will be hoping to keep more clean sheets to help his side win silverware this season.
4) Marco Delgado
Marco Delgado had a brilliant 2025 season in the midfield, helping his team finish third in the Western Conference. He played 50 matches for the Black & Gold last season and was impressive more often than not.
He will be keen on starting the season with a bang as he looks to secure a place in the USMNT squad ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
3) Timothy Tillman
Timothy Tillman was handed a contract extension last season, keeping him at the club until 2028, with an option for 2029. He started in 31 of the 33 appearances last season, playing a key role in the middle of the pitch.
One thing he would be keen to improve on from last season is his goal tally, as he failed to get on the scoresheet across all competitions despite playing 46 matches. The versatile star also managed just four assists in the 2025 season.
2) Denis Bouanga
Denis Bouanga has been LAFC’s best player for the last couple of seasons and has already shown early signs that he will be one of their key players once again in 2026. The Gabonese star scored a hat-trick in the 6-1 away win over Real Espana in the CONCACAF Champions Cup this week.
However, LAFC will be doing all they can to keep their star player, who has been linked with a move away. Fluminense is keen to sign him, but no deal has progressed.
1) Son Heung-min
Son Heung-min joined LAFC in the summer of 2025 and has been their best player from the get-go. The South Korean scored 12 goals, nine of them coming in just 10 regular-season games, while also assisting three times after joining from Tottenham.
The Western Conference side averaged two points per game when he played, something they would like to do once again in 2026. He will be leading the attack once again, and he has shown no signs of slowing down.
