Noni Madueke has been following the Premier League since he was a child, and it is no surprise that he knows the best players who have competed in the league. He has now named his three GOATs of the Premier League, and one selection may spark debate on social media.
Noni Madueke Picks His Premier League GOATs
The Premier League is widely regarded as the toughest league in the world, and when a player excels on its biggest stage, it is no surprise that fans elevate him. The league has featured many of the world’s best players after they joined top clubs, making the task of selecting just three all-time greats a difficult one.
Speaking to ESPN, Arsenal star Madueke was asked to name his top three Premier League greats and did not hesitate. The winger began with Cristiano Ronaldo, which came as little surprise, as the Englishman grew up idolizing the Manchester United legend.
In a June 2025 interview with Chelsea’s club website, the 23-year-old revealed that he considers the Portuguese superstar the greatest soccer player of all time. He praised the Al-Nassr captain’s abilities and said:
“He’s my favourite player of all time and is my nine. He is the best goalscorer ever. He can hurt you in every single way – left foot, right foot, he can run in behind, come short, play in tight spaces, score headers. He’s a nightmare for defenders. He’s the complete attacker in my opinion. If you wanted to make an attacker in a lab, you would come up with Cristiano.”
Madueke next selected Gunners legend Thierry Henry. The Frenchman was among the best forwards in the world during his time under Arsene Wenger, and Premier League defenders were often fearful of facing him.
The final name on the list was Chelsea great Frank Lampard. The Englishman was another unsurprising pick, as Madueke previously called him the best goalscoring midfielder ever in an interview with the FIFA Club World Cup champions last June:
“I don’t need to speak much about his football abilities; he’s probably the best goalscoring midfielder that has lived. He won pretty much everything there is, and is just another great person. He helped me a lot when I first arrived here and gave me my first run of games. But that’s not the reason I have him in this team. He was an unbelievable player whose record speaks for itself, his longevity, and the 20-goal seasons for five or six years in a row. You don’t see that from midfielders.”
Madueke was also asked to name the three best players in the world right now, and he selected Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappé, and Harry Kane.
