Casemiro has announced he will leave Manchester United this summer. Offers are pouring in for the Brazilian star, and now one MLS side has also shown interest.
Hollywood Calling for Manchester United Star Casemiro
Casemiro stunned fans worldwide in 2022 by moving from Real Madrid to Manchester United. The Brazilian midfielder was not expected to leave the Spanish giants, as he was still a key player, but he chose to make the move to the Premier League.
His time at Old Trafford has not been the best, but fans are bound to remember him for his top performances rather than his failures. Now, the Daily Mail reported that the midfielder is attracting interest from LA Galaxy, as they look to add another former Manchester United cult hero to their squad following David Beckham and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The MLS side, valued at $1 billion by Forbes, is keen to bolster its squad and sees Casemiro as an ideal addition to Greg Vanney’s team. The club has already lost Riqui Puig for most of the 2026 season after the Spaniard suffered another ACL injury.
The 33-year-old is not a direct replacement but brings the experience needed for the club to challenge for silverware once again. The report adds that Manchester United still viewed him as a key figure and had considered activating his one-year extension, but his massive wages led to the decision to let him leave when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The Brazilian has already confirmed the decision and sent a message to the fans: “I will carry Manchester United with me throughout my entire life. From the first day that I walked out at this beautiful stadium, I felt the passion of Old Trafford and the love that I now share with our supporters for this special club. It is not time to say goodbye; there are many more memories to create during the next four months. We still have a lot to fight for together; my complete focus will, as always, remain on giving my everything to help our club to succeed.”
He was linked with a move to Al-Nassr last summer but opted against a reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo. The Saudi Pro League side remains interested, but the Portuguese superstar’s future at the club has been thrown into question following his protest this week.
