With Manchester United hoping to secure a European place this season, the Red Devils are expected to make moves in the upcoming winter transfer window. And they are believed to have been impressed with one United States men’s national team (USMNT) star recently.
Manchester United Keen To Bolster Midfield With USMNT Ace
According to The Daily Mail, Manchester United’s top brass are admirers of Bournemouth’s Tyler Adams ahead of the January transfer window.
They have earmarked the American as a cheaper alternative to Brighton & Hove Albion’s Carlos Baleba, Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson, and Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton.
Adams, who is reportedly valued at $53 million, has cemented himself as one of his team’s vital starters since arriving from Leeds United in the summer of 2023. He has started 14 of his 15 appearances across competitions for Bournemouth this season, netting two goals.
Ahead of Bournemouth’s Premier League match at Manchester United on Monday, Dec. 15, Adams revealed his fascination with the Red Devils in a pre-match press conference.
“I played against Manchester United at Old Trafford during COVID-19 with RB Leipzig. That was the first time I walked into Old Trafford and I was like, my dream is really to play in the Premier League because this is what it’s about right here. Now being able to play there multiple times and have good results, especially makes it a little bit better. I always get excited to play against United,” Adams said (via The Daily Mail).

“I think Sorloth has done extremely well this year, as well as last year, and he’s done well for Norway too. I’m quite sure that his style of play, his physique, the way he is in the box, his strength would suit Manchester United perfectly, to be fair. So, I do hope he gets a great club if he decides to leave in the winter or in the summer, because I think Sorloth is a great player,” Riise told Foot Italia (via Metro).
Sorloth, who turned 30 earlier this month, has emerged as one of the top strikers in La Liga over the past few seasons. He has scored 49 goals in his last 89 joint La Liga matches, representing Real Sociedad, Villarreal, and Atlético Madrid.
