Manchester City Superstar’s Agent Leaves Door Open to Exit Just Months After Joining Premier League Giants

Manchester City hit with another blow as a star’s agent signals a possible exit just months after joining.

Manchester City fans have been in panic mode over the last few weeks amid reports that Pep Guardiola’s time at the club may be coming to an end. The Spaniard has insisted he will not leave before his contract expires, but that has not stopped the rumors.

Manchester City Star’s Agent Hints at Possible Exit

The Cityzens are doing all they can to sign top players to bolster the squad, which led them to make a move for two goalkeepers in the summer. James Trafford was re-signed by the club, beating Newcastle United in the race.

However, City were not satisfied with the goalkeeper’s first few games at the club and took the opportunity to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma from PSG. The Italian was made available by the Ligue 1 side after manager Luis Enrique opted to sign Lucas Chevalier as his primary goalkeeper in the summer.

Donnarumma had offers to return to Italy, while Manchester United were also linked. However, he ended up joining Manchester City after they made a late move, replacing their new signing within weeks. Trafford has already been linked with an exit this month, and now Donnarumma’s future at the club is also in question.

The Italian’s agent, Enzo Raiola, has said that the 26-year-old is adapting well to the Premier League but has struggled to perform consistently. He added that the goalkeeper has joked about being open to playing five to six seasons at the club as an adventure, but also noted that a return to Italy is not being ruled out.

Raiola put Serie A clubs on alert by suggesting that the goalkeeper would welcome the chance to return to his home country, saying:

“Today at Manchester City he is finding serenity with the team and the environment, and he likes the project very much. He is also starting to understand the English championship. The other day he told me jokingly that playing five or six years there is an adventure, but it was a joke… However, if there is the opportunity to return to Italy, we will take it.”

Manchester City paid $41 million to sign Donnarumma from PSG in the summer, and he has served as the club’s primary goalkeeper since. City currently sit second in the Premier League standings and are chasing Arsenal, who hold a seven-point lead at the top of the table.
