Real Madrid Ace Jude Bellingham Names NFL Position He Would Like To Play if Given Chance To Take Up Sport

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has named American football as one of two sports he is fond of other than soccer.

England and Real Madrid man Jude Bellingham has established himself as an elite attacking midfielder since joining his current club in 2023. His goalscoring ability and flair on the ball have received widespread praise from the soccer world over the last few years.

Now, the soccer star has revealed his preferred position in the National Football League (NFL).

Real Madrid Star Spills Beans on Favorite NFL Position

During a recent interview, Bellingham was asked to name a non-soccer professional athlete with whom he would like to swap a day of his life. Although he did not name an NFL star, the soccer superstar revealed, “I’d like to be a quarterback.”

Bellingham, who is currently sidelined with a hamstring issue, also stated that he would like to play as an all-rounder if he took up cricket. He added, “I’d swap with Ben Stokes.”

A right-footed penalty box threat, Bellingham rose to fame as a 16-year-old while featuring for his boyhood club Birmingham City. He sealed a permanent switch to Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2023, rising in stature due to his dynamic performances.

Despite being linked with a number of Premier League teams, the Englishman chose to join Real Madrid ahead of the 2023-24 campaign. He made an immediate impact, helping his club win a prestigious double in his maiden season.

Bellingham, who has guided Real Madrid to five trophies so far, has made 128 appearances across all competitions for Alvaro Arbeloa’s side so far. The 22-year-old has scored 44 goals and also laid out 32 assists, showcasing his creativity for Los Merengues.

Meanwhile, Bellingham’s club teammate Vinicius Junior has opened up on how he managed to convince the Englishman to join the Santiago Bernabeu outfit in 2023. The Brazilian star has also asserted he played a role in Kylian Mbappe’s move to Los Blancos in 2024.

“Every summer, I wrote to (Mbappe), ‘When are you coming (to Real Madrid)?’ I acted as a soccer agent. With Bellingham, I did too. I want to play with the best to have more options to win. We spend more time with each other than with our family. We have to have a good relationship,” the 2024 Ballon d’Or award contender told YouTuber Ibai Llanos.

With Bellingham set to return in March, Vinicius has recently stepped up with his attacking displays. He has scored three goals in his last two games for Los Blancos.
