Christian Pulisic could be on the move this summer as reports suggest AC Milan is open to selling the star player. Premier League sides have been linked with the USMNT star, and he has now been issued key advice by Tab Ramos.
Christian Pulisic Urged To Think Twice Before Premier League Switch
Pulisic has been linked with a switch to the Premier League after the FIFA World Cup, with Arsenal and Manchester United interested in signing him. The two clubs are looking to bolster their attack and see the USMNT star as the ideal fit.
He has Premier League experience, having played for Chelsea for 4 seasons. He could not reach the heights he had achieved at AC Milan due to injuries, and Ramos has now offered advice to the 27-year-old before he considers a return.
Speaking to GOAL, Ramos said it was tough to call whether Pulisic should renew his contract at AC Milan or make the move back to England this summer. He believes that the winger should only consider it if he is getting a good club, as he is currently at one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“It’s hard to tell. Let’s not forget that Milan is not a small club. This is a traditional team, historically one of the biggest clubs in the world. Of course there is always a desire to go back to the EPL because the EPL is the best league in the world. There is an attraction there.”
The former went on to state that Pulisic should not think about making the move ot England just because he has an offer. He does not think joining a mid-table or relegation-battling side would suit the winger and said:
“If you are talking about a club that is really putting a foot forward and has the ball, not talking about a bottom-of-the-table EPL team, then that could be a good scenario because Christian Pulisic in the final third is a dangerous player. I think where he could get into a bit of an issue is if he’s middle-of-the-table down in a team that is sort of holding and countering – that’s not necessarily his game.”
AC Milan reportedly wants $87 million for the American this summer, as contract talks have not progressed. The winger has not made a decision on his future, but is likely to make a call after the FIFA World Cup.
