United States men’s national team (USMNT) attacker Christian Pulisic has frequently made headlines with his impressive performances on the soccer pitch. But he has recently found himself at the center of a rumored relationship off the pitch. And Pulisic has now decided to dismiss the recent speculation by taking to social media.
Christian Pulisic Denies Sydney Sweeney Dating Rumors
Earlier this month, Italian news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport suggested that Pulisic is in a relationship with famed American actress Sydney Sweeney. The aforesaid website credited DNA Bomber, an Italian sports Instagram account, as its primary source of the rumor.
To squash the gossip himself, Pulisic took to Instagram after bagging the first of AC Milan’s three goals in their 3-0 Serie A home victory against Hellas Verona on Sunday, Dec. 28.
The 27-year-old wrote on his Instagram story, “Also please stop with the made up stories about my personal life. Need to hold sources accountable, it can affect people’s lives.”
Pulisic, who has helped AC Milan launch a Serie A title push this campaign, has largely kept his private life out of view off the pitch. However, the USMNT superstar is reportedly dating American golfer Alexa Melton, according to MARCA.
On the other hand, Sweeney has cemented herself as a fixture in pop culture following her roles in popular television shows such as ‘Euphoria’ and ‘The White Lotus’. The 27-year-old is believed to be in a relationship with American businessman Scooter Braun.
Journalist Sheds Light on Pulisic’s Situation at AC Milan
During a recent chat with Men in Blazers, transfer insider Fabrizio Romano was asked if the USMNT international has recently drawn transfer interest from any Premier League club.
“At the moment, I can guarantee there is zero in terms of concrete contacts or negotiations because for Milan, he’s more than an important player. He is the player at this moment. He’s considered as an untouchable player for Milan, so I don’t think there is going to be a move back to the Premier League,” Romano replied (via X/@usmntonly).

Romano added, “Interest is normal, absolutely normal when there is this kind of fantastic player but I’m told in terms of concrete contacts, nothing. And, I expect Milan to return to the table very soon and try to offer him a better deal and to find a solution with the boy.”
So far this season, Pulisic has found the back of the opposition net 10 times and registered two assists in 15 appearances across all competitions for Massimiliano Allegri’s outfit.
