Chelsea superstar Cole Palmer is considered one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe right now, having led his club to two trophies so far. However, he has recently found himself linked with Manchester United, a club near his hometown of Wythenshawe.
And, one of Palmer’s friends has hinted that the player will join the Red Devils in the future.
Chelsea Star’s Friend Makes Manchester United Transfer Claim
Tunde Olayinka, Palmer’s friend and rap star, recently took to Instagram and revealed he is working to convince the playmaker to join his boyhood club, Manchester United.
“One day, I will get CP (Cole Palmer) to United… back home where he belongs. Go ask him who his favorite team is,” Olayinka wrote in his story before adding a Red Devil emoji.
Palmer, 23, has been the talk of the town due to his links to Manchester United for close to a month now. However, a potential transfer away from the Blues is a difficult proposition, as the left-footed star has a contract with the west London team until June 2033.
The Manchester City academy product has himself dismissed the aforesaid speculations of late. After his hat-trick in Chelsea’s 3-1 league win at Wolverhampton Wanderers, he remarked, “Everyone loves to chat rubbish, don’t they? I don’t pay too much attention to it… you see things. But I feel like I’ve come from a strong place, so I don’t pay attention to it.”
Newly appointed Blues head coach Liam Rosenior has also tackled the recent rumors about Palmer’s future, claiming the Englishman is delighted to be at his current club.

“Is he untouchable and is he happy? Yes and yes. It’s simple… Cole Palmer is an incredible player like many players in the group. Cole is here, he’s very happy and I can’t wait to see him back on the pitch. Our thoughts are on how we can make this team better, how he can improve and how I can help him. He loves being here and he wants to be a Chelsea player,” the 41-year-old former RC Strasbourg and Hull City manager told reporters.
Meanwhile, Palmer has lately found his past form after battling groin and thigh injuries. He has scored four goals and provided one assist in his last two appearances for the Blues.
Overall, the attacking midfielder has found the back of the net 52 times in 115 games in all competitions for Rosenior’s side. He has also laid out 32 assists for his side since departing Manchester City in a transfer worth up to $57 million in the summer of 2023.
