Arsenal Submit $118 Million Bid To Sign Real Madrid Star in ‘Priority’ Transfer

Arsenal wants to win silverware this season, and Mikel Arteta is going all out in the transfer market once again to ensure he has all the players needed.

Arsenal is keen on winning trophies after going five seasons without silverware under Mikel Arteta.

The board is ready to do everything possible to help the manager and has now reportedly launched a bid to sign a Real Madrid star.

Arsenal Going Big in the Transfer Market

Martin Ødegaard and Eberechi Eze have not managed to impress in the attacking midfield role for Arsenal this season. They have not created enough chances, nor have they got the goals and assists needed for a side to win the title.

Arteta has identified it as an issue that needs to be solved and wants a new player signed. He has also spotted the player he wants to sign to solve the issue, and it’s Real Madrid’s Arda Güler.

According to a report in Fichajes, Arteta wants to repeat what he did with luring Ødegaard and bringing Güler to the Emirates. The manager is adamant that the Real Madrid star is the only player who can come in and instantly make an impact for his side.

The Spanish publication adds that Los Blancos are aware of the interest and are not brushing it aside. The Premier League side has already tabled a $118 million bid, and it is under consideration at Santiago Bernabeu.

Güler has scored three goals and assisted seven times in the league for Real Madrid. He has started 16 times for them and come off the bench five times, accumulating nearly 1,300 minutes on the pitch.

He has competition from Franco Mastantuono for his position, but the Argentine teenager has not managed to seal his place in the starting XI yet. Arteta is hoping to make the most of the competition and take the Turkish star to England by offering him a starting role.

Arsenal is on top of the Premier League table and also finished in the top spot after the UEFA Champions League group phase concluded, having won all eight matches. However, their top scorer in the league this season is Viktor Gyokeres with five goals, a tally matched by Leandro Trossard.

The Gunners are aware that they need to improve their attack and see Güler as the ideal player to add. The news comes just hours after the club confirmed that highly-rated Max Dowman has signed a new deal at the club.

The teenager has made his debut for the first team despite being just 16, but he is currently out due to an injury.
