Two teams that would have liked to enter the season on a similar footing have had drastically different outlooks through the first two weeks. Where the Buffalo Bills have dominated their way to a 2-0 start, the Miami Dolphins have been thoroughly outclassed as they sit at 0-2. While the Bills registered arguably the most impressive win of the season when they came from down 15Â to beat the Baltimore Ravens, the Dolphins had the most embarrassing defeat.
Going up against the Indianapolis Colts, they were thoroughly routed 33-8, leading to a player’s only meeting after the contest. However, the trajectories for either organization haven’t changed after Week 2. As a result, Buffalo’s Thursday Night game offers Buffalo the unique chance of putting the death knell on Miami’s season and potentially this core. But before the athletes take the field, there is some special entertainment brewing for the fans.
Who Will Perform the National Anthem at the Bills vs. Dolphins Game?
The 2025 season marks Buffalo’s final year to play its home games at the iconic Highmark Stadium. Starting in 2026, the team will shift to its new arena, named the New Highmark Stadium for the time being.
To make the final year at the historic venue one to remember, the Bills are engaging in all sorts of activities and themes for the fans to make it a memorable swansong. That continues in Week 3 when they host a Hispanic Heritage and Bills HeartBEAT theme.
However, that isn’t all, as fans will be treated to a heartfelt rendition of the national anthem, with Buffalo native Mark Scibilia set to perform before the game in his uniquely soulful style that he has perfected over the years.
Declaring that he makes music that channels the national mood on his own terms, he’s dipped into multiple genres like folk, country, alternative, and anthemic pop. The official press release from the Bills website wrote, “He has crafted a distinctly American sound that is rueful yet buoyed by hope.”

Thanks to his unique style, he has become an incredibly popular name, with multiple songs and albums garnering millions of streams. His Gold-certified single ‘Unforgettable’, alongside the nostalgic ‘Summer Clothes’, have become anthems for a younger generation.
He is set to headline his first world tour in Fall 2025. But before he begins that journey, he is set to kick off the Week 3 clash at Highmark Stadium in what will surely be a night to remember.
