Simeon Rice is one of the best defensive players in Tampa Bay Buccaneers history. He helped them to win a Super Bowl ring and has the second-most sacks in their franchise’s history. His long list of accomplishments will be honored at halftime of their Week 13 game against the Arizona Cardinals, with his family expected to be in attendance.
Is Simeon Rice married?
Rice has never publicly shared that he is currently married, so it should be assumed that he isn’t. He has had several notable relationships, but no known wives. He has a previous relationship with TV personality Claudia Jordan and former University of Illinois Fighting Illini track star Jayna Caroline, with whom he has a child.
Jordan Caroline is Rice’s son, but he took his mother’s last name. He also competed in track during his college career and even played professional basketball overseas in France. While the two of them never married, their child may have inherited some of their athleticism, as both of them are former athletes.
Simeon Rice to be Honored by Buccaneers in Week 13
The Buccaneers have an important Week 13 game against the Cardinals, but their halftime presentation will be one of the most notable things to watch this week. Rice is a franchise legend, featured on a historically good defense that heavily contributed to winning a ring. His achievements will be cemented in Tampa Bay history when they induct him into their Ring of Honor.

He will be the 16th member to be inducted, and it will be made official during a special halftime presentation. His former head coach, Jon Gruden, who was also a key piece of them winning the same Super Bowl, will present Rice with his jacket. Gruden will serve as the Captain of the Krewe for the halftime ceremony.
Rice spent six years with the Buccaneers and recorded double-digit sacks in five of them. He also earned two trips to the Pro Bowl during that time and was twice named an All-Pro. His dominant edge rushing abilities also included forcing 25 fumbles in those six seasons as one of the best players on a legendary defensive unit.
His 69.5 sacks as a Buccaneer rank second in franchise history to only the 77 of Warren Sapp, a Hall of Famer. This special presentation may be able to fire up their current roster of pass rushers in Week 13, including potentially Haason Reddick, who ranks eighth in PFSN’s Impact Rankings among all edge players.
