The 2025 NFL Draft didn’t go as planned for Deion Sanders’ sons, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, but they have been winning hearts off the field. While Shedeur has been visiting schools and making his presence felt in the Cleveland community, Shilo recently gave away 250 free meals while working at a KFC for a day.
During his shift, Shilo also met his first fan wearing his No. 28 Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey. The former Colorado safety was on cloud nine and said it was the first time he had seen someone wearing his Buccaneers jersey.
Shilo Sanders Rewards Fan Wearing His Buccaneers Jersey With 5 Free Meals and an Autograph
Shilo shared the video of his workday at the KFC on his YouTube channel, and he was seen giving away 250 free meals. That’s when his superfan pulled up wearing his No. 28 jersey, and as soon as Shilo realized it, he couldn’t contain his excitement.
He was jumping up and down in excitement and rewarded the fan with five free meals before signing the jersey for him.
“This is the first Bucs’ jersey I ever signed,” Shilo said excitedly.
Shilo joined the Buccanners as an undrafted free agent and signed a three-year, $2.96 million contract with the organization.
The former Colorado star finished his college career with 184 tackles, seven interceptions, six forced fumbles, one sack, and nine passes defended.
While this was the first time that Shilo saw his Bucs jersey on a fan, it isn’t the first time he ran into a Tampa Bay superfan who showed him love.
Bucs’ Superfan Claims Sanders Will Be a Steal
Recently, Shilo ran into the Bucs superfan “Buccafied” at a store, and he made a bold prediction about the safety’s future in Tampa Bay.
“You gonna be the steal, the steal,” the fan said. “This is the steal, baby. This is the steal. We stole, Shilo. I’m telling you, we stole you… Ain’t nobody stopping us. Back to back to back to back to back, and we’re going to the Super Bowl. Ain’t nobody stopping us. Shut down. Lockdown, baby.”
“Buccafied” is a well-known figure among Bucs fans and was pumped to meet Shilo. His energy was so contagious that Shilo matched it right away, engaging with the same excitement while hearing words of encouragement from him.

However, it remains to be seen what kind of role Shilo will play with the Buccaneers. Entering training camp, he is listed as a fourth-string safety and will have to put up an impressive performance in camp and the preseason to make the roster (much less carve out a role).
He has a high football IQ and can play as both a deep free safety and closer to the line in run support, which helps his chances. He’s an excellent finisher in zone coverage, but he must improve his man-to-man coverage.
If Shilo becomes a better technical tackler instead of a big-hit hunter, perhaps he can gain head coach Todd Bowles’ trust and earn a spot in the secondary.
