Shedeur Sanders finally got his opportunity to play for the Cleveland Browns.
Starting quarterback Dillon Gabriel was evaluated for and eventually ruled out with a concussion in the Browns’ Week 11 game against the Baltimore Ravens. This paved the way for Sanders to play nearly a full half of football.
It was quite an eventful debut for the 23-year-old, so there are plenty of highlights (and lowlights) to take a look at.
Shedeur Sanders Stats and Highlights Against Ravens
Sanders finished the game against Baltimore, completing 4 of 16 pass attempts for 47 passing yards, no touchdowns, and an interception. He took two sacks, one of which resulted in a fumble, but it was recovered by the Browns’ offense.
The interception went to Ravens cornerback Nate Wiggins, who returned the pick for 14 yards and set the Ravens up in the redzone. Luckily for Sanders, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson threw an interception of his own on the very next play.
Sanders’ best play of the night came with just two and a half minutes to go in the fourth quarter. He dropped back in a clean pocket and completed a 25-yard pass across the middle to tight end Harold Fannin Jr. Fannin Jr. was fired up following the dart from Sanders.

Sanders’ other three completions were a five-yard throw to wide receiver Cedric Tillman, a seven-yard catch by tight end David Njoku, and a 10-yard completion to wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.
The lowlights certainly outweighed the good plays from Sanders’ debut, as social media erupted with reactions to his performance.
@lip_philll: “I don’t want to be that guy, but all the people who were saying “Why are the Browns not putting Sheduer Sanders in?” are now seeing exactly why the Browns did not put Sheduer Sanders in until now”
@ModernDayInves: “Should be a High School PE teacher”
@danhurleyuconn: “Bro is MID”
