How Many Picks Do the Seahawks Have in the 2025 NFL Draft?
The Seahawks currently have 10 picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. Four of those are their original selections (Rounds 1, 2, 3, and 7). They then received three compensatory selections and added three picks via trade, including two on Day 2.
In a somewhat surprising move, the Seahawks traded their two-time Pro Bowl quarterback, Geno Smith, to the Las Vegas Raiders for a third-round pick. They then moved star wide receiver DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers for additional second and seventh-round picks.

The Seahawks’ fifth-round pick was part of a midseason trade for New York Giants defensive tackle Leonard Williams. Seattle gave up a 2024 second-round pick and its 2025 fifth-round pick in exchange for the veteran defensive lineman.
Seattle also dealt their fourth-round pick and linebacker Jerome Baker to the Tennessee Titans for linebacker Ernest Jones IV in another midseason trade.
What Are the Seahawks’ Biggest Needs in 2025?
- G, OT, WR, EDGE
The Seattle Seahawks were not far away last season, and seem to view themselves as playoff contenders even after a pair of massive trades. Their sixth-ranked defense dominated their metrics, while the offense was 20th, thanks mostly to the 30th-ranked offensive line.
Nevertheless, the Seahawks took a sledgehammer to their talented skill position group. Geno Smith is now in Las Vegas, DK Metcalf was traded to Pittsburgh, and Tyler Lockett was released. Sam Darnold was their answer at quarterback, but his three-year contract is essentially a year-to-year proposition.
They also need to put weapons around Darnold. Lockett and Metcalf leaving turned the WR position from a roster strength to the biggest need after quarterback. They signed Cooper Kupp, which gives them a starting option alongside Jaxon Smith-Njigba in 2025, but may not prove to be a long-term solution.
Kupp and JSN also have some usage redundancy, with both largely operating from the slot. Therefore, the Seahawks should still look to address the position in the draft by replacing Metcalf’s role as the true X receiver.
The actual major weakness from 2024 still needs addressing, as guard and center still need upgrades. You could certainly make the case that they should draft two or three interior offensive linemen, particularly with five picks in the top 100. At tackle, Charles Cross and Abraham Lucas will start, but both are in the last year of their rookie deals (unless Cross’ fifth-year option is picked up). They’ll need a contingency plan at those spots as well.
Defensively, they shuffled around some veteran depth pieces for cap relief, but most of Mike Macdonald’s key players should return. Re-singing both Ernest Jones and Jarran Reed was huge for keeping the defense strong up the middle and allowing them to focus on the offense. If there is a need, it could be at EDGE, but Demarcus Lawrence helps for 2025, so any selection could be more of a developmental role player.
