Seahawks release first Super Bowl injury report, listing Sam Darnold, Charles Cross, Ernest Jones IV, and others ahead of Super Bowl 60.

The Seattle Seahawks have not practiced since beating the Rams in the NFC Championship on Sunday. As both the Seahawks and New England Patriots prepare for the Super Bowl, the NFL still requires teams to file an estimated injury report beginning Wednesday.

Seattle Seahawks Release Latest Injury Report Ahead of Super Bowl 60

The Seahawks listed linebacker Ernest Jones IV and tackle Amari Kight as nonparticipants on the estimated report. Jones IV is dealing with a chest injury. Kight is managing a knee issue. Both were marked as DNP.

Quarterback Sam Darnold appeared on the report as a limited participant with an oblique injury. Darnold has played through the issue during the postseason and remains Seattle’s expected starter as the team prepares for Super Bowl 60.

Left tackle Charles Cross was also listed as limited with a foot injury. Cross has been a regular on Seattle’s injury reports late in the season but has not missed game action during the playoff run. Josh Jones, who provides depth along the offensive line, was limited as well with ankle and knee injuries.

Several other Seahawks were listed as limited participants, including fullbacks Robbie Ouzts (neck) and Brady Russell (hand), wide receiver Jake Bobo (hand), safety Julian Love (shoulder), linebacker Drake Thomas (shoulder), and tight end Eric Saubert (hamstring). None of those players has been ruled out of the Super Bowl. Seattle has more than a week before final game-status designations are required.

Linebacker Chazz Surratt was the lone player listed as a full participant while managing an ankle injury. With Super Bowl kickoff still 11 days away, Seattle is in the early stages of its preparation window, and actual practice participation will not begin until later in the week.

The News Tribune’s Seahawks beat writer Gregg Bell said Seattle did not practice Wednesday and that injury designations were required by league policy ahead of the Super Bowl. The report reflects how players would have been listed if the team had practiced, rather than actual participation. With kickoff still 11 days away, the designations are procedural and not indicative of player availability.

Seattle is scheduled to face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 60 on Feb. 8 at Levi’s Stadium. More definitive injury updates are expected once the Seahawks resume full practices.
