‘Worst Player on an NFL Roster’ — Seahawks Fans Slam Jalen Milroe After QB Struggles in First Half vs. Packers

Seattle Seahawks fans were not impressed with the play of rookie quarterback Jalen Milroe against Green Bay. Here's what they're saying.

Seattle Seahawks rookie quarterback Jalen Milroe drew heavy criticism from fans after a rough first half against the Green Bay Packers in their final NFL preseason game Saturday at Lambeau Field.

Milroe got the start from Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald, but his play in the first half was shaky. At halftime, he was 7-of-12 passing for 65 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions.

These results didn’t sit too well with the Seattle faithful watching the game.

What Were Seahawks Fans Saying About Jalen Milroe?

One fan vented on X, “Jalen Milroe is genuinely the worst player on an NFL roster at any position. Absolutely f**king pathetic that a scout gave this guy a job.”

Another fan said Milroe should be gone when the roster is trimmed to 53 players, writing, “Jalen Milroe with the same bulls**t every game. Just runs without looking. Hes not a nfl qb Seattle. Smh.”

Another fan referenced Milroe’s days as quarterback in college for the Alabama Crimson Tide, writing, “Jalen Milroe is struggling with the same things he struggled with at Alabama he can’t read defenses that good she can’t adjust to his secondary receivers case in point on that 4th down call he started running but a receiver came across the middle of the field and he could hit him.”

A separate highlight added fuel to the criticism when Milroe fumbled, leading to a Packers defensive return for a touchdown, though the score was later called back.

Watching Milroe run the ball in the first half didn’t impress this fan, who wrote, “Jalen Milroe dont ever need to run the ball again whatsoever.” Another fan added, “Jalen milroe is trash up A** bro I’ve seen enough cut all 3rd (stringers) on Seattle the whole team trash.”

Another Seattle fan commented, “gotta say, i hope I’m wrong, but i am very much not a Jalen Milroe believer.” One added, “jalen milroe aint ready to go toe to toe with the big dawgs”.

It should be noted that Milroe was primarily playing with Seattle’s third- and fourth-string offensive linemen for most of the game. Still, the early verdict from Seahawks fans on social media was far from optimistic heading into the regular season.
