Is Saquon Barkley Married? Everything To Know About the Eagles Star’s Dating Life

Is Saquon Barkley married? Does he have any children? Here's everything you need to know about the Eagles star's life off the field.

After six seasons with the New York Giants, a span that included two Pro Bowl selections, Saquon Barkley made major headlines by signing a $37.75 million deal with the Philadelphia Eagles last offseason. Since arriving in Philly, he has delivered big, chasing down the single-season rushing record and helping fuel a Super Bowl run.

Now one of the NFL’s highest-paid and most recognizable running backs, Barkley’s rise has also brought plenty of attention to his life away from football. Fans, in particular, are eager to learn more about his longtime partner, Anna Congdon, who is now his fiancée. Here’s a closer look at their relationship.

Meet Saquon Barkley’s Fiancée Anna Congdon

Congdon also has a sports background; she played basketball at Forest City Regional High School. She was named the team’s captain in 2016 when they won their first district title in five years. The team’s Facebook page celebrated its win at the Mohegan Sun Arena with a heartwarming snap of Congdon with her teammate, Kendra Bendyk.

Following their victory, Congdon’s teammate shared that her motivation to win the game came from wanting to look at her captain’s face and say they had played their best basketball, and that’s precisely what they did.

Saquon and Anna’s relationship dates back to their college days. They first met at Penn State in 2016 and attended the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity formal together in December of that year.

The couple made their relationship social media official in February 2017 during their second semester of freshman year. Although they aren’t married, they share two children: Jada Clare, born in 2018, and Saquon Jr., born in 2022.

Around Super Bowl LIX, Barkley confirmed that he has been engaged to Congdon for six months. If you recognize Congdon, it’s likely because you have seen her on social media. She has a massive following across her Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) accounts.

Anna is Saquon’s biggest supporter, possibly second only to his daughter.

Saquon Barkley Embraces Fatherhood

Congdon is an amazingly dedicated mother, and her significant other shares a similar level of enthusiasm for parenting.

Barkley has shared his evident love for his daughter Jada since Day 1, saying: “I’m just honored and blessed that I have a daughter in Jada and be able to enter fatherhood and always gotta try to set the standard for her because her image of a man is gonna be off of me.”

You got that right, Barkley.

Barkley also speaks about his son in glowing terms, calling him a beautiful baby and saying: “He lights up the room. Amazing smile. Jada is being an amazing big sister. Anna, obviously an amazing mom. We’ve got a beautiful little family.”

One of the primary reasons Barkley returned to Penn State in 2022 to complete his degree was to set an example for his children. Throughout that journey, Congdon was by his side, serving as one of his biggest supporters.

“I also thought it would be good to get my degree to set an example for my siblings and my family. I want my kids to be goal setters, and whatever they want to accomplish, they can do it if they put their mind to it,” Barkley explained. “I would love for them to one day say, ‘I want to accomplish this and actually see it come to fruition.'”

This growing family of four has become a fan favorite, and Congdon continues to be a constant source of support as Barkley pushes to add more accomplishments in Philadelphia.

The Eagles committed to their star running back with a two-year, $41.2 million extension this past offseason, rewarding him for his central role in the team’s Super Bowl success. Barkley is now under contract through the 2028 season.

Through 11 games this year, he has totaled 684 rushing yards and four touchdowns, averaging 3.7 yards per carry. According to PFSN’s RB Impact metric, he currently ranks 31st among NFL running backs.

While his production hasn’t fully matched his usual standard, many believe Philadelphia is pacing him deliberately as the playoffs approach. With back-to-back championship aspirations, keeping Barkley healthy and ready for the postseason remains a top priority for the organization.
