The veteran quarterback used his unexpected time off to plan a heartfelt surprise for his wife, Ciara: a birthday celebration that left her deeply touched.

Wilson made sure his wife, Ciara, felt celebrated on her milestone birthday. On Saturday, the New York Giants quarterback shared a heartfelt tribute to the singer, posting a video montage filled with photos and clips that captured their most precious moments together.
“Sticking with you FOREVER!!! ❤️🙏🏾 Happy Birthday to my world, @ciara,” he wrote. “God had a purpose putting us together, a force for something greater. Watching you shine as an incredible wife, mom, artist, and entrepreneur inspires me every single day. You do it all with grace, strength, and love…Daddy loves you! And I got the perfect birthday present for you…”you know what it is.. it goes like ‘Da-Da-Da!””
The quarterback’s message highlighted his admiration for Ciara’s strength and grace, as well as the deep bond they share as partners and parents. He also teased a special birthday surprise, one that turned out to be the “best surprise birthday party” ever.
On Monday, Ciara took to Instagram to thank her husband for going above and beyond
“Baby thank you for always making me feel on top of the world and for throwing the best surprise birthday party! You always make every moment for me, big or small, feel special and important! You are the best!! I love you soooooo much @DangeRussWilson. #TheBig40 🖤,” she wrote.
The couple looked radiant as they celebrated alongside close friends, including Giants linebacker Brian Burns. Both were dressed in sleek black outfits for the occasion, as Ciara marked her 40th birthday in style.
Wilson and Ciara’s story began in March 2015, when they met through a mutual friend at a basketball game in Wisconsin. After a conversation that lasted for hours, Wilson was completely “sold on” Ciara. For Ciara, the connection was solidified by how Wilson embraced her son from a previous relationship, Future Zahir, as his own.
The relationship progressed quickly from there. Wilson proposed during a trip to the Seychelles in March 2016, and just a few months later, on July 6, 2016, the two were married in a private ceremony at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England.
This public affection is a common theme for the couple. In a post from July 2025, Wilson again reflected on their relationship, describing meeting Ciara as a sign from God and their life as one full of love, laughter, purpose, and partnership. Together, they have built a loving family and are parents to four children: Future Zahir, Sienna Princess, Win Harrison, and Amora Princess.
